Kyoto Arashiyama Onsen Kadensho (Kyoritsu Resort)【Reopening in 2026】

This recently renovated onsen hotel is highly recommended! The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, with a traditional Japanese style. The hotel features a public bathhouse and five private onsen, which is a great bonus. They also offer a complimentary drink bar in the afternoon, showing their dedication to excellent service. It's very close to both the subway and bus stations, making it an ideal choice for visiting Arashiyama, especially if you have a lot of luggage. I imagine it'll be quite difficult to book a room during autumn foliage season!

This is my second stay, and I love it as much as the first time. Although it was just renovated this year and there's a slight odor, opening the window at night to sleep takes care of it. The hot springs are open 24 hours, so it's less crowded early in the morning or late at night. The only issue is the number of foreigners; after they've used the hot springs, I feel a bit… off.
