Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma-Gojo

Successfully got my friend hooked on Kyoto! We stayed in a B&B last time we visited together, and it was quite a scary experience. Hotels are definitely the way to go, especially this one with hot springs and convenient transport. Kyoto is also perfect for shopping. Kansai, Osaka, and Kyoto are always a must-do for a good time!

Although the room faces the main street, the soundproofing is excellent, so you can't hear any traffic noise at all. The room comes with two bottles of water daily and is cleaned every day. It's a convenient 15-minute walk to Shijo shopping street and Nishiki Market, and just a 20-minute bus ride to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Very convenient!

The hotel experience was great, the hot spring was very comfortable, and the cleaning was excellent.

First off, the hotel's location is fantastic. There's a bus stop nearby with direct routes, plus a convenience store. I really enjoyed the hotel's large public bath; it was so relaxing to soak in the hot spring after walking 10,000-20,000 steps every day. The hotel is also very thoughtful – they provide fresh pajamas daily, and the room size is quite good. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day we checked out, we even stored our luggage for a while before heading back. All in all, for this price during the off-season, it was an excellent value for money.
