Check in Shijokarasuma

The room was clean and the service was good. Enjoyed a wonderful vacation living here. It felt good. Recommended ♡

A hotel facing Shijo Karasuma Street, I had the impression that there was a hotel in such a place, but when I went inside, I wondered why, even though there is a large public bath that satisfies the guests, it is a great cost performance. I was worried about. Although the room is compact, a washing machine is also available. Happily, there is also a kimono. Speaking of difficulty, it seems that cleaning is not perfect to some extent. We celebrated the New Year at this hotel on December 31st. I have already booked with the intention of staying again in April and May.

It has an excellent location on the north side of the Shijo Karasuma intersection, next to Takoyakushi Dori. It is a building that looks like an ``eel bed'' and you might miss the entrance if you are careless. Immediately to the south is Mitarai Well, a sacred water dedicated to Yasaka Shrine, which is open to the public during the Gion Festival. Two large lion figurines stand out on the inside of the hotel's lobby entrance door. Complimentary sodas and coffee are available in the lobby. There is a large public bath on the top 11th floor, as well as a sauna and an open-air bath for just one person. I couldn't get the usual Japanese-style room, so I had a single bedroom. The bed was the size of a double bed. The bed is too big and I can't help but feel cramped. At night, after the Gion Festival Yamahoko Parade, the Tsukihoko, with its stage curtain removed, stood quietly on Shijo Street, giving off the feeling of loneliness after the festival was over.

Compared to before Corona, the number of inbound tourists has decreased, and there are fewer tourists in the Gion area. Although the state of emergency was being declared, it may not be as lively as before the inbound. Accommodation is cheap and easy to book. Personally, I'm happy, but I'm sad that it's not lively. Automatic check-in and out has increased recently unlike before. The restaurant is gone, but the morning will be done at the surrounding shops. Convenience is as good as before.
