The entrance of the hotel is on the Ningning Road, and nearby are the scenic spots Kiyomizu Temple Nienhan and Yasaka Shrine. It is very convenient to take pictures in the morning, so I chose this hotel for only one night. There is a cherry blossom tree in the courtyard outside the window, which is the biggest surprise of this trip!

Great place and cool tram, jut 5 minute walk to the prime areas, easy to get train, bus to Kyoto station, super clean and sold bunk bed, more information from staff is a big help, common room was perfect with fresh coffee, kitchen and utensils, will be back for sure

This is one of the most restful hostels I've ever stayed at. Very clean and quiet and the facilities are very good. Staff are very helpful too. Very traditional feel as well which was nice. Very good location in Gion, which is good for the shrines nearby, although Kyoto is a big, very spreadout city. This place is very nice if you want a refreshing stay, although I will say that I found it hard to meet other travellers here.

I have stayed at this location a few times (twice in the mixed dorm and once in a private room) and it remains one of my favorite accommodations in Kyoto. The location is superb and you will not find anywhere in Gion at that price point. The staff are all very helpful and friendly ready to offer advice as needed. The dorm pods are actually pretty spacious with plenty of room for you and your luggage. Each pod also has a desk with a small lockable drawer. If you don't have a padlock, you can borrow them for free from the front desk. There are plenty of toilets and showers; I have never had to wait for either even when the place is fully booked.

The receptionist was the kindest person in the world, with incredible charisma and willingness to help you even with things that were not his job. I have forgotten a bag on the train going to Tokyo and thanks to your management, when I arrive in Tokyo my bag is in lost and found with the information that the receptionist gave you. The place stood out for how clean and pleasant it was. Place where I really had a 100% Japanese experience. Very good location. The place to sleep is very uncomfortable since you literally sleep on a mat on the floor. But the biggest complaint was that it only had 3 showers so I had to wait a long time... Then the taps on this one were pressurized (I understand that it is to prevent water from being wasted) and they didn't last at all so the shower It was long and uncomfortable Actual date of stay: October 2018
