Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sakaiza Shijo Kawaramachi Reviews

This is my second stay here. It's super convenient to get to, just 50 meters to the right from Exit 9 of Kawaramachi Subway Station. Though, if you have a lot of luggage, it's easier to use the Takashimaya elevator entrance across the street. The room is comfortable, with a washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator all provided. I noticed this time that all the bath amenities have been replaced with new brands, and even the hairdryer has been updated and works really well. It's handy that you can just stick the magnetic sign outside the door if you need new towels or a trash bag change. There's free coffee in the lobby too. I'll definitely be back. This is a place I really like!

Facilities: The amenities are very comprehensive, including a kitchen and a washer-dryer. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: I really enjoyed the coffee and sake service in the shared areas. Service: The staff are very enthusiastic and have a great attitude.

Good location while not noisy at all. In front of the door step where you can reach many restaurants and big department store. Staff was helpful and even assisted to make reservation where Japanese language is required. Will stay again if going to Kyoto.

Facilities: The hotel is newly renovated and very quiet. Cleanliness: Spotlessly clean, with no unpleasant odors. Location: The location is superb. Shinkyogoku Shopping Street is right downstairs. To the west are the Kamo River and Gion. Sanjo is to the north, and the entire southern area is Shijo Kawaramachi. Service: The front desk staff speak fluent and clear English, making communication seamless.

The hotel offers great comfort, excellent service, and is surrounded by good shopping options. Its location in Kyoto is also fantastic, with attractions like Gion, Kamo River, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple all within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Seriously, this hotel is incredible! On the second floor, there's a fantastic complimentary bar with drinks, including some alcoholic options. You can even take your drinks to the terrace, which boasts exquisite landscaping and stunning views. The front desk staff was not only super handsome (a Western guy!) but also incredibly friendly and helpful! Our room was extremely clean and very spacious. The washing machine was another great feature and worked flawlessly! Absolutely perfect!

The hotel is ideally located right within Nishiki Market, offering incredible convenience for exploring the area. The front desk provided excellent service, and coffee and alcoholic beverages are also available in the lobby. However, the cleanliness was a major issue. The room was not properly cleaned, as evidenced by a sock from a previous guest found stuck in a crevice. Additionally, the headboard, windowsill, and nightstand were all covered in tiny bits of fluff and dust.

Tokyu Stay Kyoto boasts an excellent location right next to Kyoto Station, offering unparalleled convenience for both transportation and shopping. Although the rooms are compact, their thoughtful design, complete with a washing machine and microwave, makes them ideal for extended stays. Highly recommended! Its superb geographical location is undoubtedly the biggest highlight! Being just a short walk from Kyoto Station saves immense time and effort for daily commutes. The room amenities are modern and comprehensive, and the in-room laundry facilities are an absolute godsend for long-term travelers. Situated right at the Kyoto Station exit, its accessibility for exploring is unmatched. The hotel itself is new and meticulously clean. Rooms, though compact, are fully functional, and the integrated washing machine is incredibly useful! This is an ideal choice for discovering Kyoto, offering fantastic value for money.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! You're right on a bustling commercial street, which makes dining and shopping incredibly convenient. There's even a 'Sousou Street' downstairs where you can easily pick up some unique canvas bags! And getting around is super easy too, with the subway station just a 2-3 minute walk away.

But the real highlight for me was having a washing machine in the room – such a lifesaver for travelers! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit. You have the flexibility to either dine out or bring food back to prepare simple meals in your room. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Kyoto.

Takashimaya and Edion are conveniently located directly across the street. Hanamikoji is a mere 15-minute walk, and even Kiyomizu-dera Temple is within walking distance! A significant bonus is that every room includes a washing machine and a kitchen, which makes self-catering incredibly convenient.
