Fantastic stay at Tsugu Hotel Kyoto. The location is perfect—central yet quiet, making it easy to explore the city. Very clean and the design was modern and simple. The service was exceptional, especially when they assisted in retrieval of my items that were sent from Tokyo. Truly reliable and attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Very cool hotel in a perfect central location. Bautiful interior design, nice large clean rooms and a great bar serving delicious coffee. Staff are always present at reception and are very helpful with anything you may need. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan.

The location of hotel is pretty good, just about 8min walk to the subway. Services is expected for Japanese hotel. Room is reasonably sized but window looks out to the wall of the neighbouring building. Quite typical of boutique hotels in Japanese cities. A pleasant stay overall

The hotel is Very clean and the staffs are very friendly. Close to most of the attractions(walking distance), I would book the hotel again when we come back to Kyoto.

Overpriced for the room you get, main entrance and facilities look great and modern but this does not mirror the rooms, it was tiny, with no natural light, and cheap finishes, hostel vibe. Disappointed.

The toilet is spacious with a separate wet and dry area. There's a convenience store a 3-minute walk away. There's an Aesop store next door, and free hand cream is available at the entrance. Overall, it's very convenient and quite spacious – a big plus!

The room was tidy and cleaned very well. However, the air conditioning and ventilation were not very powerful. Also, since I had to wait for the bus to go to the airport, I was not allowed to check out in the public area on the 4th floor.
