M’s Hotel Kyoto Station Taruya Reviews

The hotel is a bit remote but very quiet. They offer self-service laundry facilities, but it's quite expensive at 800 yen for a wash and dry cycle. To make matters worse, the clothes weren't completely dry after the wash, forcing you to pay separately for additional drying.

Hotel is clean. Staff not available as you self check in and out. There is staff if you call and wait. Location about 15min walk from station. Not really located near shops/restaurants. No room service except for towel change every three days. Room is slightly cheaper than other hotels if you are looking to save. Had windows in room but cant be opened and no views from room.

Simple Hotel, the codes make it a bit complicated to check in. Room was clean and spacey.

Good hotel with nice staff, has everything one could need, with private bathroom and all the needed amenities available by the front desk. A little far from de center but just a 10min walk from de train station

Our group checked in rooms 218, 212, and 213. Overall, we loved our stay here. It is easy to find and going around kyoto in bus made it convenient for there are lots of bus stops nearby. We have elderlies with us so we tried to avoid stairs and going around in buses made it possible for us. Cons: No lotion Toilet Vent needs cleaning Dust in corners The water from the toilet faucet is cloudy and has a Strong Chlorine Odor Pro: Overall clean Quiet neighborhood Average room for japanese standards Konbinis are 100m to 500m away 15 mins walk from Kyoto Station Lots of bus stops in the area Taxi to/from Kyoto Station ranges from 700 to 1000 yen Pro Tip: if you are coming from or going to Kyoto Station with luggages, it will be easier, faster, and convenient to get a taxi instead of walking or taking the bus. The bus fare here is 230 yen so if you are traveling in a group, it will be better to get a taxi to save you time. A 3.6km distance cost us 1800 to 2100 yen. I took the photos during our check out so please excuse the mess.

Room was clean and exactly how it was in the pictures. Check in was easy and also check out was easy and fast. I really enjoy my one night in here.

Very easy checking in, room is bit small but enough for us with luggage. Can stored luggage at the lobby for free after checking out, save money. Location is little bit far from Kyoto station but walking distance.

Hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Location wise - it’s near a beautiful shrine within walking distance like 5 min. Close to convenience stores and food however the station is a bit of a walk. If you’re fine with walking 18-20 min to Kyoto station every time then this hotel is great as it’s in a quieter location. There’s also bus stops nearby too which are easy to use and navigate. The hotel provides you with a door code to access as it’s sort of a self service hotel. The staff will not always be there at the desk. They provide amenities such as toothbrush, towels etc.

We enjoyed our stay at M’s Hotel. At night, From the train station we will walk to AEON mall before going back to the hotel. There’s a big grocery store there that sell fresh sashimi/sush and other ready to eat take outs. My husband had so much joy picking all the seafood he would like to eat and pair them with a can or two japanese beer. I love the seared mackerel and rice and brew my own matcha tea (provided by M Hotel) in the room. We ate dinner in our room During our 2 nights there. So lovely!!!!! We really enjoyed our stay! We would love to come back in the near future!

Its near 2 Kyoto JR stations which is okay and near a bus stop that can take you to certain places, just make sure you check your room for damages and report it to them before nobody is there again

Very modern and beautiful Hotel. It was very clean and all sorts of amenities were provided. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. I highly appreciated this! It seems like the facility caters for conferences and meetings so expect some bigger crowds sometimes in the lobby hall. But overall an amazing place to stay! Highly recommended!

A great hotel, with a great bathroom and location. It is very spacious, which is not always found in Japan. Everything is very clean and modern, starting from the hall and corridor and ending with the room itself. It is very convenient that the hotel itself has a laundry room with 24-hour access.
