The room layout was quite interesting, and opening the curtains offered a distant view of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The location was very convenient. However, the hygiene was indeed poor. I found some dried dead skin under the mattress and hairs on the duvet, which was a bit disgusting. I also didn't understand why slippers cost extra.

This is my second stay at this Kyoto hotel, and it's a very good one. The rooms have a great wet/dry separation, and the tatami mats really maximize the space. The hotel's location is also super convenient, within walking distance to the main attractions. The value for money is excellent! I hope they'll offer breakfast service in the future; that would make it absolutely perfect.

I have to commend the front desk staff for their excellent service! Their English was great, so no need to worry about language barriers. The hotel's location is also fantastic. It's within walking distance to many attractions, especially if you want to enjoy the Kamo River at night. You can have a drink, feel the evening breeze, listen to music, and then leisurely stroll back to the hotel – it's a perfect choice. For shopping enthusiasts, it's even better, with Takashimaya just a short walk away. And for those who enjoy handicrafts, there are some wonderful artisanal shops nearby. I chose a smoking room, but I couldn't smell any smoke at all, which was a pleasant surprise. I truly loved my stay here; it offered incredible value for money. Thank you all so much! I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Kyoto. Thank you!

Pretty good! I really appreciate the attentive service, and the bathtub exceeded my expectations – it was great. Plus, there's a self-service washing machine downstairs which is very convenient.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! Both the exterior and the rooms looked exactly like the photos. The room was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, and the location was very easy to find. It seems like a new hotel, as the facilities and cleanliness were excellent. It was a very comfortable stay. The shower and toilet were separate, creating a dry/wet zone that was very convenient. Plus, the pillows were designed for neck support, which made sleeping quite comfortable. I stayed with another person, one on the bed and one on the tatami mat. Both beds were foldable, making them very convenient to use. It's a shame we were just passing through, but if I get the chance to visit Kyoto again, I will definitely book this hotel.

The room had three beds. Although two were Japanese-style floor futons, the mattresses were incredibly comfortable with a latex layer. The room wasn't huge, but it was well-equipped, and the front desk service was absolutely 100%! Highly recommend!

Last year, I stayed at this hotel in Kyoto, and I chose it again this year, but with a different room type. It was even more comfortable this time, being on the top floor and more spacious. They offer free bath salts, and I always pick a bag when I pass by. The front desk service is excellent and professional, and the location is also great.
