The hotel is conveniently located, just one stop from Kyoto Station to Gojo, then a 5-minute walk using navigation. There are some small eateries and convenience stores nearby, plus a duty-free shop right next door. However, the hotel's bathhouse alternates between men and women daily... one day it's only a sauna, and the other day it's a hot spring bath! 😅😅😅 This is the first time I've seen such 'resource sharing.' Most Japanese hotels I've stayed at before provided disposable skincare products like lotions and emulsions, but this one didn't. The welcome drink they offered had no taste; I thought it was water, but it was light yellow. Not sure what it was. The room size was decent, enough space to open two suitcases, which is a huge plus.

This hotel was, without a doubt, the best one I stayed at in Japan. For the same price, the room was incredibly spacious, and their hot springs were fantastic. The washing facilities were also very convenient. During our stay, we needed to exchange some cash, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even guiding us to a nearby bank. Plus, there were some lovely little surprises when we checked in. We even took a photo with the staff at the end – it was a wonderful experience!

The room was quite new with modern facilities, but it was really small. For breakfast, you had to scan a QR code to order from five options (Japanese or Western). Spent three days in Kyoto and had a very comfortable stay. The room was spacious and bright, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which was great. The sauna and hot spring baths downstairs were very clean and tidy; it was so relaxing to soak after a day of walking. Plus, there's a well-stocked drugstore right near the hotel. If I ever get the chance to visit Kyoto again, I'd definitely book this place. The only downside was the limited number of self-service washing machines – we had to wait until 1 or 2 AM to finish our laundry. 🤨

Modern design hotel that appeals to the younger crowd. Medium queen room was spacious and I could lay out my luggage case on the long bench. Don't expect nice views from the room as it will be facing other buildings. Room was on the darker side, as the interior design is mostly black and gray, and the lighting was minimal, so it is good for relaxing and not working. For breakfast, you can order 1 plate from ala carte menu, and there is a salad bar. Pretty simple but does the job. Location wise, it is closer to Gojo metro station than Shijo station. There is a metro exit with elevator so you can use that when carrying luggage. It is a longer walk to Shijo dori shopping street, so you may prefer to book a hotel closer to Shijo station / Hankyu Karasuma station if you want to be more central to the shopping area.

Extremely satisfied! The service was excellent, and the price was great. The room was especially clean. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. The location is also perfect, right next to the subway station. I'll be back!
