Aman Kyoto

Aman Kyoto truly is a secluded sanctuary. Stepping into the room felt like entering Kyoto's serene mountain forests. The entire hotel is enveloped in lush greenery, with picturesque views at every turn, creating an incredibly Zen atmosphere. The room was spacious and airy, featuring the warm texture of natural wood and meticulously designed window views that offered glimpses of the courtyard foliage – truly tranquil and healing. The service was meticulous, discreet, and attentive; never intrusive, yet always anticipating and fulfilling our needs perfectly. Amenities and bathroom facilities were top-notch, and the hygiene was impeccable. My partner and I spent a leisurely two days here, away from the hustle and bustle, fully immersing ourselves in the Japanese Wabi-sabi aesthetic. It was the most unforgettable experience of our trip, and we will definitely return.

As an Amanjunkie, it's not just love at first sight; I genuinely adore the hotel's location, design, and ambiance – it truly didn't disappoint. Every corner of the hotel and every detail in the room's layout is perfect for an Amanjunkie like me, and the quality of the toiletries is outstanding. The restaurant is beautiful and offers a happy hour with complimentary drinks and snacks. While the selection isn't vast, with such a perfect atmosphere, who really cares? It's also worth mentioning that the hotel boasts a stunning indoor and outdoor hot spring, complete with a beautifully designed small lounge area – simply flawless. Compared to other Aman properties, though, I personally wouldn't recommend this one for a first-time Aman guest.

Thoroughly enjoyed the serene escape. The hotel's facilities seamlessly blend with the natural environment, making for a truly relaxing stay. The staff lived up to Aman's standards – proactive, warm, and always remembered guests' names. Both the Japanese omakase and the Western dinner, as well as breakfast, were of high quality. The private onsen at the spa was a highlight, especially during sunrise.

This hotel, a secluded gem, is a complete contrast to the Tokyo Aman. It's perfect for introverts, with very few rooms and not many guests, making it ideal for unwinding. The hotel offers plenty of activities, and the views are absolutely stunning. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very quiet and secluded, with its own small forest, perfect for a relaxing stroll after dinner. Even though it was late in the autumn foliage season, the maple leaf atmosphere was still present. It's a pity the red leaves outside our room window were a bit sparse. The service was excellent, and they even delivered different desserts every evening. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and the snow crab kaiseki dinner was truly delicious. It's a great place, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day stay.

Aman Kyoto was an excellent experience. The hotel offers a variety of activities, including hiking, yoga, hot springs, and a spa. The breakfast was also delicious. Additionally, there were staff members who spoke Chinese and explained everything to us, so there were absolutely no language barriers!

The air conditioner vent design in the room was problematic; the cold air blew directly onto my face. After two nights, I felt like I was getting sick! However, the restaurant's food quality was high, and the service staff were very friendly.
