Hearton Hotel Kyoto

This hotel was incredibly cheap during the summer off-season, only 200 RMB per night for a single room including tax. The location is unbeatable, right by a subway entrance, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. There are also a lot of great food options nearby, highly recommended! However, the soundproofing is quite poor. I could hear snoring from the next room at night, and in the morning around 9 or 10, I could hear staff cleaning the adjacent vacant rooms, which really disrupted my sleep.

The environment is great, and the location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the station. Excellent value for money. The breakfast on the second floor is delicious.

The location is good, and the facilities are decent. It's very close to the subway station, with two main lines intersecting, making it convenient to get anywhere. Buying the Kincho 1-day pass is a good deal for exploring. There aren't many food options directly around, but just one stop away, there are plenty of great places to eat.

The room was quite spacious, big enough to accommodate large luggage. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and a Sukiya nearby which is pretty good, similar to Yoshinoya. It's close to the subway station, but unfortunately, the nearest exit doesn't have an escalator. If you have luggage, you'll need to use another exit, which is a bit further and requires crossing the street. I specifically chose this hotel because I thought it was very close to the Kyoto Gion Festival route, making it convenient to just go downstairs to watch. It truly was very close, and near the festival's endpoint, so it was perfect for catching the midday events.

Facilities: This is an old-fashioned three-star hotel, primarily catering to foreign guests. The rooms are quite small, especially with three beds squeezed in. Environment: It's not far from the Gion Festival parade route, which is incredibly convenient. However, once the parade starts, many roads are closed, making ground transportation very difficult. Service: The breakfast on the first floor offered a variety of traditional dishes, including natto and Japanese dandan noodles.

The hotel was very clean and had a water dispenser. It's located in a quiet area. When booking, pay attention to whether it's a double room or a twin room. You can pay to upgrade upon arrival.

An excellent stay! The hotel was spotless and well-equipped, even boasting Daikin's premium air conditioning units. Plus, the location is fantastic. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto.
