We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks and it was a good experience. Comfy bed, clean rooms, much better experience than other hotels we've tried in Kyoto. Good for work and leisure, their lobby was an amazing spot for work or a drink. The gym was in a good condition too.

This is a great modern hotel with good value for money. They offer a 12 PM check-out, and I was pleasantly surprised that they let me check in before 2 PM. The room was quite large; honestly, I felt it was a bit too big and could have been more compact, maybe with a sofa. Of course, that might be due to cost considerations. Anyway, it's a stylish hotel with a youthful vibe, and there were many European and American tour groups staying there.

One of my fav hotels to stay at in Kyoto. Clean rooms, cool bar area,’good food and drinks, nice staff. Good amenities. Had a great time.

The hotel was good, with a nice bar for evenings and a good Japanese breakfast. It was exactly what we were looking for – highly recommended.

The hotel didn't provide hand soap or sanitizer, and there were mosquitoes but no mosquito repellent. Honestly, domestic business hotels are much better equipped. Also, the location is a bit out of the way; it's better to stay closer to Kyoto Station for more convenience.

I am so amazed with Moxy Kyoto. Receptionists are helpful, 24 hrs, and speak English . Hotel has bar at the ground that gives daily complimentary drinks. A Modern millenial theme hotel. Love the lobby. Not creepy. So clean. Smells good. God amenities. Has filter machine for Drinking water so you don’t need to buy bottled wate. Just across huge JR station going straight to kyoto.

The room design is very modern, with a European and American style. It's very close to the subway and bus stations, and there are many restaurants nearby, so the transportation is excellent. It's also very close to Nijo Castle, making it convenient to get to Arashiyama and Kyoto Station.

Happily stay here again. Staff are lovely. Breakfast is decent enough, basic but was happy with it. Gym 24 hours. Clean. Couldn't see netflix on tv but imn kyoto you are out and about anyways.

The stay was fantastic! We got welcome drinks, and there was even a choice of special cocktails. The bathroom had a unique shower room design, which was a nice touch. The location near JR Nijo Station is incredibly convenient; you can take the subway to Shijo or the JR line to Kyoto Station, Nara, and Arashiyama. There's also a famous yakiniku restaurant nearby. Overall, it's a quiet and convenient spot, though if you're mainly looking for shopping, Shijo might be a bit more accessible.

We had a wonderful one night stay at MOXY Kyoto, Nijo station just opposite the hotel; hotel has a 24hours bar which is very convenient. There also 7-11 and Family Mart 5 mins from the hotel, also there is a very local walking street which only 6mins  from hotel. This hotel has a wonderful location and excellent service❣️

The hotel is very close by Nijo station which allows easy travel between main locations within Kyoto. The staff is very friendly and the hotel interior has a good vibe and is new. On a regular basis a DJ is performing at the bar and it’s nice to enjoy a welcome drink there.

Extremely satisfied. The location is convenient, the lobby is spacious and inviting, and the rooms are very modern.

Moxy Kyoto is a very vibrant hotel and gave me a cozy feeling throughout my stay, especially with all the teddy bears displayed in the lobby. We were welcomed with two complimentary welcome drinks, which was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we asked for a weighing scale to mail our items, they brought out a really old-fashioned balance scale—the kind you would usually see at a market! It was quite unique, fun, and memorable. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with lots of character.

Very close to Kyoto Station, and there's a subway station (Nijo Station) nearby, making it super convenient to get to Arashiyama.
