Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi

The hotel's location is excellent, bustling both day and night, perfect for shopping. It's also very close to the Kamo River, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple is only a ten-minute drive away, allowing you to get there early. I did hear about the noisy motorcycles at night, and while it was a bit loud, it wasn't constant. I arrived at the hotel at 9 PM. As I was unpacking in my room, I got bitten while squatting down. I thought it was a mosquito and asked the front desk for mosquito coils. They only offered insecticide or a room change. It was too late, and I was too tired to switch, so I went out to buy an electric mosquito repellent. After using it in the room, I woke up the next morning with two more bites. At that point, I knew it wasn't just mosquitoes; it must have been some other insect. I decisively requested a room change early that morning. The front desk was very responsive and moved me to a larger room type, also compensating me with breakfast for one day. Thankfully, the timely change didn't affect my itinerary, though it did dampen my mood a little. Overall, the hotel's location is good.

Good points: The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for shopping in Shijo. The service is quite good; they offer unlimited coffee daily and a complimentary cup of sake every day. Bad points: On the first day of my stay, I found lipstick marks on the glasses in the bar, which made me concerned about the hygiene.

I've stayed at this hotel many times; the location is unbeatable. This time, I also discovered that the hotel has opened a direct passage from the lobby to the tram, which is very convenient. However, the triple room type is what I'm most satisfied with. The bathroom isn't cramped; it's very spacious and has a walk-in shower. The room is also spacious enough to fully open our luggage.

I stayed for 3 consecutive nights, and the hotel has a public laundry room, so no worries about laundry! It's in the city center, which makes shopping very convenient. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and the environment is comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Takashimaya, Daimaru, Don Quijote, and many drugstores. Check-in and check-out were very convenient, and it's close to Nishiki Market. The hygiene was also good. The downside is that it's very noisy at night; I often heard loud motorcycle roaring sounds.

The hotel is right by the bustling Shijo Kawaramachi road. Takashimaya is to the right and Daimaru to the left, and it's very close to Kamo River, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Yasaka Shrine, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel has a lot of foreign guests, mostly from Europe and America. The only downside is the poor soundproofing. One night, I could unfortunately hear some rather embarrassing sounds from the next room...

I stayed at this hotel in Kyoto for two nights. It's right on the main street, which made getting around incredibly convenient. If I bought too much while shopping, I could easily pop back to my room to drop things off. There are so many places to explore nearby. The hotel room was just the right size, not too big and not too small. They offered a welcome drink of sake, which was a nice touch. This time, I happened to be there during a Japanese temple festival, and I really enjoyed the unique atmosphere on this street.

This is my second stay here. The location is excellent, right on the busiest street, making shopping super convenient – everything is right downstairs. Plus, booking in advance makes it really affordable, offering fantastic value for money.
