I felt it was pretty good. It's not too far from Kyoto Station, and getting to attractions was quite convenient. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, so I could grab snacks on the way back to the hotel. The room was also very clean and the bed was soft.

I stayed at this hotel in Kyoto and honestly found it very convenient and comfortable for my trip The hotel is located near a bus stop and only about 600 meters from Kyoto Station, making it super easy to get around the city. There are also many convenience stores nearby like FamilyMart, and 7-Eleven, so grabbing snacks, drinks, or daily necessities was really convenient. What I liked most was the affordable price for 2 people while still being located in the city center. It’s a great option if you want to save money but still stay somewhere comfortable and convenient in Kyoto. The room was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed after a long day of exploring. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto 👍

All in all, I expected it to be worse, judging by some of the reviews on here. I am 1,90m and could fit on the toilet just fine with the door closed, people who say they could not fit without opening the door need to re-evaluate their diet. It was quite dusty when I entered the room, some hairs on the sheets, there is also a bit of an iron smell in the air. Other than that, it was pretty okay.. The staff downstairs is really friendly, there is one man with a lovely smile who is super eager and quick to help you. The breakfast option is something I would not recommend, it is nice for one morning. But it is the same bento over and over again. At Nijo station(5-10min straight line from the hotel) there are plenty of cafe's and bakery's to get you something more tasty. So yeah, don't expect luxury, but it really is fine for a couple nights. ;)

This is a classic small Japanese hotel right next to Nijo Castle. It's a five-minute walk from both the subway and JR stations, and there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs. The room is a bit small; I could barely open my 32-inch suitcase, but then I couldn't open the room door. The bathroom is even tinier – you have to open the bathroom door to sit on the toilet, otherwise it's too cramped. However, it was clean and well-stocked with amenities. The room came with a fridge and a microwave, so we could buy dinner outside and heat it up in the room. The hotel also provides pajamas. If you need more towels or anything, you can get them yourself from the self-service area on the first floor. There's also a coin laundry. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't offer luggage storage after check-out, so you have to use the paid lockers at the station.

Overall, it was okay, but the toilet was a bit small.

Amenities: Refrigerator, microwave, kettle, smart toilet, bathtub, and hairdryer. Cleanliness: Very clean, and there's an air purifier. Ambiance: The hallways all have air fresheners. Service: Quite good; sometimes there are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk.

The room was quite clean, but it's a bit far from the city center! However, there's a supermarket and mall just a short walk away, which is great, and a bus stop right downstairs makes it convenient for getting to attractions! Nijo Station is also nearby, which is handy for using the JR Mini Pass to visit surrounding cities. The only downside is that Japan at this time of year is unbelievably hot, especially Kyoto with all its outdoor attractions – it was so hot I couldn't even speak! And a word of warning: avoid Nijo Castle in the summer! It's way too hot and there's no air conditioning!!!!

The room was incredibly clean, the environment was lovely, and it was very quiet.

Facilities: Livemax – I stay here often in Japan, and their facilities are really comprehensive. They have everything you need. Cleanliness: Pretty good, didn't notice any major issues. Environment: There's a convenience store nearby, and it's about a 10-minute walk to the JR station or subway. Service: Minimal interaction, you just check in and out.

It's a few hundred meters from Nijo Station. The only thing I found unacceptable was that the front desk wouldn't store luggage, not even for a fee. The front desk staff emotionlessly told me I could go to Nijo Station, which is 700 meters away, to store it 🥺🥺

A good place for a couple of nights if you're traveling solo. The double rooms might not be suitable for two people traveling with two or more large suitcases. However, for the price, the room is comfortable and functional
