Stayed here for one night for a football game and the hotel served our needs really well. Easy to access by tram and the train station across the street. Great restaurant on site. Friendly staff that were able to accommodate our needs. The beds were great, air conditioning worked really well, and the place was incredibly clean. Standout for us was the friendly staff including the reception and the custodial team.

Stayed here for 3 nights during the Rugby World Cup to see Fiji v. Australia. Came in by train - so VERY handy as just across the road. Also handy for the Fan Village and Stadium - 25 minutes walk. Now rebranded as an Ibis "Styles" Hotel since the last review (TRIPADVISOR - take note of the name) and presumably smartened up a bit. We found it clean and friendly - rooms were OK and bathroom a just about decent size. Beds were comfortable and soft pillows supplied when requested. And the Air Conditioning worked! A bonus as the weather was gorgeous and still quite hot. Nice breakfast supplied in a funky downstairs area. BIG bonus was being attached to the Maire Kanter restaurant and bar on the ground floor - great atmosphere on the outside tables with all the rugby folks coming and going. Ate in the restaurant once - pretty good. Saint-Etienne is a very nice town to walk around - lots of wide boulevards with squares and cafes to while away a lunch, and some interesting sites to visit (we didn't make it to the Mining Museum unfortunately). We probably won't get back to Saint-Etienne but if we did - then yes, we would stay at the Ibis again.

Bon accueil, chambre propre et spacieuse. La chambre familiale était composée d'un grand lit standard et de 2 canapé monoplace BZ. La chambre donnait sur la gare. Nous n'avons été dérangé par le bruit durant le week-end de notre présence. Le petit-déjeuner est dans le standard de la gamme. Le petit plus serait d'avoir des œufs brouillés et des petites saucisses. La salle du petit déjeuner est agréables. Par contre, l'accueil pourrait être plus lumineux. Une certaine odeur désagréable était présente dans l'ascenseur, peut-être que la présence de moquette n'est peut-être pas judicieux.

Je choisis habituellement l'hôtel IBIS BUDGET voisin. Mais ALL ACCOR indique : "aucune disponibilité pour la nuit du 17 au 18 septembre". Je me dirige vers l'IBIS Styles Gare TGV. S'agit-il d'un BUDGET reconverti en STYLES ? Je m'y suis trouvé mal à l'aise dès l'entrée (étroite), à l'accueil (étriqué), et en file d'attente (il est vrai en début de soirée et un jour de semaine). Alors que l'aspect extérieur est flatteur et sans doute préservé. Sans doute aussi parties communes et chambres mériteraient-elles un rafraîchissement afin de donner à l'ensemble un peu de gaieté. J'ai payé 116,20 €, petit-déjeuner compris dont le buffet était bien garni.

L'Accueil est trés professionnel avec beaucoup de courtoise et c'est vraiment une qualité.. J'ai demandé des renseignements pour me déplacer et les réponses furent précises et correctes. La chambre demandée est exactement comme je l'avais souhaiter , propre, de dimension correcte ... La proximité avec la gare est un atout supplémentaire et le petit déjeuner fut varié et avec des produits de qualités. Seul bémol la personne du petit déjeuner est peu souriante et ne répond pas à un bonjour classique et usuel.. Le veilleur de nuit est prostré dans son placard , sans doute pour visionner les caméras...

Plusieurs surprises : - Parking de l'hôtel (peu de places, beaucoup de places encombrées de palettes, caisses de boissons, pots de peinture, transpalettes, meubles) bref pas de places = du coup parking de la gare à 100 m - Arrivée à 22H, accueil sommaire et rapide (en train de faire une visio sur son portable), pas de remise de bon boisson malgré mon statut Gold !!!!! - Machine à café en panne sur les 2 jours = Pas de possibilité d'avoir autre chose que café et/ou thé. - Tables encombrées et sales, sols qui collent, poubelle sur la table, bref très déçu. Je ne reviendrai pas

L’ibis rouge est devenu un ibis vert (Styles). Situé face à la gare SNCF de Saint-Etienne Chateaucreux Accueil au top Parties communes très bien agencées Chambres vastes et confortables Très bon petit déjeuner C’est un sans faute ! Je recommande cet établissement à 100%

Employés sympathique et très poli le café a l'entrée pour ce quu séjourne es offert juste en face de la gare très silencieux je suis resté surpris je conseil. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux On y trouve jus d'orange frais, Café, Viennoiseries, œufs a la coque
