We had an excellent stay in this historic and beautifully restored building. The view from our room and the restaurant is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s located on the city walls and the accessibility is fine.

Located in a castle next to the city walls in the delightful small City of Rodrigo Ciudad. The Parador is nicely situated for visiting the city. The plaza mayor is about a 7-minute walk where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. The spacious room was located on the 1st floor (no lift) and was surprisingly very modern and very comfortable! Private parking is offered and the Parador is pet friendly. The walk on the city walls offers some lovely views over the surrounding countryside and access down by stairs to view and walk around the beautiful buildings! Lovely overnight stay!

Despite not believing that we could possibly drive through the narrow gates, we did and were happy we chose Parador de Ciudad Rodrigo. It's an impressive structure, beautifully appointed. Staff were pleasant and helpful. There is no elevator and reaching most rooms requires some steps.

The Parador is situated in an old castle which has been nicely renovated and has excellent views. It is close to the town, which is worth visiting. Our bathroom did not have a bath, only a shower. This did not worry us as we never take baths but some people might be disappointed. The food is very average but none of the restaurants in town are very good and you will probably not do better elsewhere. There is parking inside the castle walls, for which you have to pay. There is public parking outside in the square, but you have to pay for that also.

Situated in a castle, the Parador is in a good location for visiting the city. The plaza mayor is about a 7 minutes walk from it. Our room was one of two located near the reception and easy to get to. The room was nice and the bathroom was very nice. Parking is in a small lot beside the castle with minimal room for maneuvering around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Television reception wasn’t great on about half the channels. To get great views of the city and old bridge, climb the tower that is part of the Parador.

We enjoyed delicious food. The room was outstanding. All staff was friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable at all times. Walking the wall and the historic city was amazing. It was a very special experience from beginning to end.

Loved our stay, very charming and unique.
Only thing that could have been better is a/c in the room at night, an iron in the room. Also a bit of misconception about the room having a balcony, apparently only 4 have them and it’s first come first serve

Small castle parador five mins wak from the central Plaza Mayor. We paid for a superior room which was lovley apart from the fact that there was no wi-fi signal in the room. We were offered a chance to move but we were already unpacked and liked it where we were. We had a cofee machine in the room but there were no instructions about operating it and it was not intuitive. The tower at the centre of the hotel can be climbed and there are great views from the roof; in our case including seeing lots of huge storks nesting in the adjacent trees and flying in and out.
