Loved this hotel. Stunning location and the friendliest of welcomes. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was smart and well kept throughout. The food was fabulous- dinner and breakfast throughout our stay was delicious and served with a smile. Would go back like a shot.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst in the highlands, and what a hidden gem. The hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but as soon as you’re inside it has that traditional Scottish homely feeling. The room itself was beautiful with stunning views, very spacious and comfortable. I didn’t arrive until late but was made to feel very welcome. The food was good hearty home cooking, both evening meal and breakfast, you won’t go hungry that’s for sure!

Set back from the main road. There was little traffic at night, so road noise wasn’t a problem. Our bedroom was comfortable and had good views of the loch, with occasional sightings of seals. Spacious residents’ lounge, also with loch views and a selection of games. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Evening meals fine but less inspiring. The information booklet that Heather has put together is outstandingly good. Don’t miss it for local history, suggestions for walks and excursions, and a mass of generally helpful information that added to our enjoyment of the area.

After a windy wet drive up from Lairg we arrived at this hotel. To be honest it did not look impressive from the outside. Fortunately having read about it we expected this. However once we were checked in by the owner we were amazed at the beautiful interior of the hotel. Our bedroom was huge and well appointed with an equally large en-suite. The room itself had stunning views over the beautiful Loch Inchard. Having had a longish drive we decided to try out the hotel bar. This was well stocked and with all malts being the same price a treat for Whiskey Drinkers. There is a large Residents lounge with a huge log burner at one end which heats the whole room. It would be very easy to doze off in the comfy seats. Dinner was served from a fair sized choice of menu and reasonably priced. Like everything else the quality of the food was amazing. After dinner and a couple of nightcaps we retired to the huge bedroom and slept well. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there were the usual juices, fresh fruit and yoghurt available as well as cereal. We had a super time at this hotel which was excellent value for money. It's well run by a husband and wife team. Spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend it and I know we shall return.

Cape Wrath walkers beware. This hotel does not support walkers who simply wish to purchase a drink or have food, dispite lots of walking guide reviews to the contrary. Walking 10 hours to be turned away from only source of supplementary supplies is a real shame. Don't blame Brexit!

Attempted to get a drink after a long day on the Cape Wrath Trail. Not a chance. Is it really too much effort to serve a drink to a willing customer? Won’t be going back that’s for sure Try the Old School in Inshegra. Only 2 miles down the road but a world away in terms of welcome, hospitality, service, etc

This hotel is comfortable and the interiors tastefully designed and very clean. The hotel is well located to explore the area. Heather and Marcus were very hospitable. The food was good especially the Calum Skink which Heather made on request .

Recently stayed here for 2 nights traveling the NC500. On initially arriving we did feel the outside looked as if it needed a lick of paint however dont be put off by this as the rest of the hotel was exactly what we needed and we had a great welcome. Lovely spacious room, very clean and with a nice big comfortable bed. The evening meal of haggis starter and fish & chips main was very tasty as was the sticky toffee pudding, breakfast was also spot on. The prices for food and drink were very reasonable considering some of the prices we paid on other parts of the journey. Overall a very nice stay.
