I stayed at the Best Western Plus Lake Dallas Inn & Suites for business in north Dallas last month. The hotel is very clean and the amenities are great. The Nespresso machine that was available 24-7 was a MAJOR plus. The property is situated just off of I-35E, so it is theoretically easy to get to most locations in Dallas. However, this is largely dependent on traffic. The hotel is about halfway between DFW and Denton, so you are not really close to anything. The one issue is part of a concern I saw with another Best Western property on this same business trip (Best Western Plus Gen X Inn, Memphis). In both cases, the owner had decided to eliminate the position of “manager” and have the person running the front desk also act as manager. To save costs, the owner is obviously keeping the lower-wage front desk employee and firing the manager. This leads to an overworked staff and a potential for some serious problems (see my review of Best Western Plus Gen X Inn, Memphis on Trip Advisor).
