Matariki Star

The overall location is simple and convenient, with cooking utensils included. However, the sofa bed was soft and wobbly, which made it easy to wake me up. The scenery is beautiful, with beautiful mountain views right outside.

Located on the hill opposite Lake Tekapo, the B&B is convenient for travel. It is a 5-minute drive to Lake Tekapo. It has self-service check-in and check-out, and the overall hygiene is acceptable.

Finding a place to stay in Tekapo is so difficult! This place isn't a lake-view room, but it's conveniently located with a kitchen for cooking and parking. The room is fully equipped with air conditioning and electric heating.

The room was not easy to find. It was one of a large group of simple houses. In fact, it was just opposite room 27 (this room was number 29), but there was no obvious house number or nameplate. We walked around twice before we found it. Although the exterior is somewhat simple, the interior is comfortably decorated and the room is large with relatively new facilities, including a dining table, kitchen worktop, refrigerator, microwave, etc. There is also a desk, sofa, and coffee table. Parking is available at the door. The room is a little far from Lake Tekapo, but because the town is small, it only takes about 10 minutes to drive to the lake, so it doesn't feel inconvenient. I opened the curtains in the morning and saw the sunrise.

You can see the stars at night. It's a rural area with spacious rooms. The elderly couple who run the place are very kind and friendly.
