"Location: Just a 4-minute drive to the stargazing meetup spot. View: Open the balcony door and you're greeted with the stars and the Milky Way – the view is truly spectacular. Service: Fully self-check-in with a keypad lock; just enter the code and you're in. Three households share one large unit, but it's designed so everyone has their privacy. Amenities: All toiletries are provided, including a razor and comb, plus a powerful hairdryer. Disposable slippers are available, along with a 3-in-1 charging cable, TV, refrigerator, and a washer-dryer combo (laundry detergent included). They also provide cutlery, salt, and pepper. Nespresso capsule coffee and other hot drinks are also offered. The bed isn't overly soft, which is great for anyone with back issues! There's also a large Redmi TV, which made me guess the owner must be Chinese. The toilet is smart, with an automatically heated seat – so comfortable on a cold day, no more frozen backside! As a traveler, the hotel's facilities and the view are absolutely top-notch! Simply fantastic!"

"The hotel's location is great, right across from Lake Tekapo with a supermarket and restaurants nearby. Our lake-view room had a balcony where we could see the lake, but it was already dark when we arrived so we couldn't fully appreciate it. There were no disposable slippers in the room, so I had to go barefoot 😅. Also, it seems that hotels in New Zealand don't use duvet covers; instead, the duvet is sandwiched between two sheets, which might be a bit uncomfortable for those with germophobia. It was quite chilly in Tekapo in May evenings; even with a light down jacket, I was still shivering a bit, so we canceled our stargazing plans. However, I managed to capture some brilliant stars with my phone from the balcony, which was a nice consolation. The TLV restaurant and bar across from the hotel had pretty good food."

"I highly recommend this guesthouse. Self-check-in is a welcome change from the likely unfriendly Filipino receptionists. If you want to photograph the Church of the Good Shepherd under the stars, it's only a 1.8km walk, but you can also stargaze right outside the house and see the Milky Way 🌌. You'll encounter many cute wild rabbits nearby. It's very convenient for those driving, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the soundproofing is good. Highly recommended!"

It was a bit chilly, and there were minimal streetlights, but that meant we enjoyed an incredibly beautiful starry sky. We could also watch YouTube on the TV, which made for a relaxing time in the room. The studio-style room had a unique setup where you entered and exited through the window, leaving your shoes outside."

It’s a self-service hotel and very easy to check in after you get your password from your e-mail to access in your ordered separate house. You can just walk away and enjoy the stunning view and food just alongside the small street."

"We were two families staying together. The 3 bedrooms plus a storage room were very convenient, and having a washer and dryer was a big plus. It's within walking distance to the Church of the Good Shepherd, and just a short drive to the city center. The only downside is that there were a lot of bugs outside the house in the summer, so it's best to keep the windows closed."

"The snowy scenery was absolutely beautiful! Every amenity in the apartment was lovely. There's a washing machine in the room, but the dryer is a self-service one next to a gas station (about a 3-5 minute drive away). Since it's winter and the heating is on, if you don't have too many clothes, they'll dry in the living room anyway (there's a drying rack). I absolutely love this apartment! And all the neighboring houses look similar, which makes it even cuter. With the snow outside, you can even have a snowball fight! Though it is very cold. It's also very close to Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd. I highly recommend staying here!"
