New Lanark Mill Hotel
"Beautiful place. The room was nice, comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Dinner was okay, but really noisy in the restaurant. I think the mussels was bad. 3/4 of the mussels was not opened when cooked. I ate one that was opened and was still sick 2 hours later. There was a wedding going on. Our room was next to the lift on the top floor. The music was loud, but everything went quiet after midnight. Until maybe some guests come back to their room. Apart from that all was okay. Maybe would be better for wedding guests to get the room by the lift so it doesn't disrupt others."

Station House Lanark Bed and Breakfast
"Alan is a perfect hoste, offering a warm welcome in his lovely house with superb rooms, a wonderful bathroom and a great breakfast. He goes out of his way to make you feel at home and helps you any way he can. There is a great restaurant nearby and the location is pittoreske."
Rosemount Boutique B&B
"I was initially disappointed not to see inside the impressive main house, but this soon turned to delight on seeing the separate accommodation to the rear of the property. Everything was beautifully-designed and comfortable, a little different from the standard decor, without being at all jarring. The only slight issue was the water temperature, which looked adjustable, but in practice seemed to go from very hot straight to cold. The breakfast was quite simply perfect, and definitely the best of my fifteen-day tour of Scotland. The coffee in particular was delicious, which was not always the case elsewhere. Whilst the hosts were undeniably friendly, I found the atmosphere a little awkward in the open-plan kitchen/dining area, as it was expected to make stilted conversation rather than simply relax and eat. Overall, a high-quality option with much to recommend it."
Knockaloe BEG Farm
"Homely comfortable experience with calming rural views. Very clean with good quality finishes. This is not a hotel, it's a beautiful rural farmhouse. Location is great. Very quiet and somewhat remote. Some of the food is sourced from the farm. Rooms are large. The family provide a very welcoming service. We travelled here with mountain bikes and had the use of the rear storage sheds. Lovely people & sociable guests."
The Village Inn
"Friendly reception on arrival. Was sent a text with a number to meting incase I needed it. Love the tartan carpet. Clean, fresh and well stocked. Extras available if needed for tea, coffee, etc. don’t be put off by the separate shower rooms. They are literally two steps over the hall and robes are provided. Lots of fluffy towels left too. I needed an early start so was left a huge continental breakfast. Remember that the bar is only open Thursday through to Sunday. It is on a busy road but good windows and blackout blinds help. Parking was available outside. Nice green opposite. Great for an overnight stop on my way to Edinburgh."
