Out of expectation!!
Jingmai mountain is not yet well developed as a tourist destination (which makes it more original and peaceful too). So I didn’t expect anything like Xiangongjia - the hotel is well furnished and designed with professional hotel management. The local owner is very friendly too and organised the fire dance on our first night.
The restaurant in the hotel is incredible too - tasty and clean - a level I had never expected just in my hotel and not even in this less developed tourist destination - so we spend 2 nights here - so continent when it is less dangerous drive during night time in mountain area.
The manager also helped me to prepare a bday cake for my friend and made tea for us. And thanks for sharing your and this hotel’s story.
If you have the budget, this is definitely your best choice.

The hotel service is very good! I am very satisfied with having such a comfortable and intelligent room in the countryside. The hotel is located in Jingmai Mountain Scenic Area. Several major attractions are within 10 kilometers from the hotel. The location is good and the breakfast is rich. The landlady is very nice. It was raining when we arrived. I drank Pu'er at her house and upgraded the room type. The room is next to her tea-making workshop, and the floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the tea forest and sea of clouds. Her tea was mellow and sweet, and I bought a few cakes when I left. The nearby Dai restaurant is delicious! There is also a car charging station 1 kilometer away. After watching the sunrise over the sea of clouds in the morning, the car was fully charged! Recommend this Jingyun Villa!

The location of the homestay itself is relatively quiet, in Wengji, not far from the Mangjing, the balcony faces the northwest, and you can see the sunset. When I checked in, there was an uncle who was very enthusiastic to help carry the luggage. There are disposable bath towels in the room, and the hot water is also coming out faster. The only thing I am not used to is that the homestay belongs to the old house, the sound insulation is not very good, if I walk next door, I am also shaking slightly here. The more mindful friends may have to find a newly built homestay. The itinerary has changed, I stayed for one night and left. I wish the boss a prosperous business!

The hotel is in Mangjing Shangzhai, very close to the Queen Bee Tree. I stayed for two nights and woke up every morning listening to the birds singing. The air was very fresh when I opened the balcony door. I really liked this big balcony. There was roasted tea and Brown singing in the evening. It was good to organize activities to visit the ancient village during the day. However, the level of the hotel's guides really needs to be improved. It may be related to the cultural level and knowledge. The service is very good.

Review: Eterna Venue Hotel (Liu Shi) - A Tea Mountain Retreat
As a self-proclaimed “well-travelled” individual, I never expected Jingmai Mountain to take my breath away again—but it truly did. The journey here is a testament to Yunnan’s untouched beauty, with rolling emerald tea fields, ancient forests, and villages where ethnic tribes have lived for generations.
We decided to stay at Eterna Venue Hotel (Liu Shi) instead of the many BnBs on the mountain, having often found those overpriced and lacking in cleanliness. What a pleasant surprise this hotel turned out to be!
From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made it feel like home. Many of the team members come from nearby tea-farming communities, and their passion for the land was palpable. They didn’t just serve tea—they shared stories of the heritage behind it, offering insights into the different tea varieties and local traditions.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with high-quality linens. I loved waking up to the sound of roosters and the first rays of sunshine streaming through the window. If you’re like me and prefer to leave the window open at night, the fresh mountain air is the perfect way to start your day.
For breakfast, don’t miss the fresh rice noodles and seafood congee—so flavorful! The fruit selection was also fresh and changed daily.
A pleasant surprise was finding Cha Ling (a premium LVMH brand) as the hotel’s amenity. Made with tea extract, it added a luxurious touch to my stay.
One of my favorite experiences was the traditional tea baking session, Wei Lu Kao Cha. We gathered around a carbon stove, sipped Pu’er tea, ate locally harvested fruit and nuts, and learned to bake our own tea leaves under the guidance of tea masters.
The staff’s pride in their cultural heritage shone through in every interaction, making what could have been a simple stay feel like an immersive cultural journey.
For anyone looking to experience the authentic soul of Yunnan’s tea mountains, Eterna Venue Hotel offers more than just a place to stay—it provides a meaningful connection to this beautiful region.

GGuest UserThe most fortunate thing about staying in Jingmai Mountain during the May Day Golden Week is that I chose to stay in Wengwa. About one kilometer away from Wengji Ancient Village is Wengwa Ancient Village, which is full of indigenous people. You can switch from noisy to quiet with just one click. The innkeeper is a Wa girl born in 1998. She has two lovely children and is very capable and enthusiastic. When it rained heavily and I couldn't go out, I drank tea from the proprietress's house, tried all kinds of authentic ethnic dishes, and ate bananas and plums directly picked from the trees. Because the accommodation was so comfortable, I stayed there for two consecutive nights. Her house at the entrance of the village is a natural viewing platform for watching the sunset. You can watch the sunset and the clouds without leaving the house. All the photos in the film were taken in Wengwa! Few people and beautiful scenery! After visiting the Jingmai Mountain attractions, I couldn’t wait to return to the quiet Wengwa. If you want to experience a pure paradise and the authentic life of the aboriginals, I highly recommend going there. It will definitely be a surprise! I seldom write comments, but I couldn't help but write a short essay to share.
GGuest UserLocation and convenience: Describe the location of the hotel and whether it is convenient to reach the main attractions, business districts or transportation. Facilities and services: evaluate the facilities offered by the hotel, such as gym, swimming pool, business center, etc., as well as the quality of customer service, including the efficiency and friendliness of the front desk staff. Room comfort: discuss the cleanliness of the room, the size of the space, the comfort of the bed, and any special amenities (such as flat-screen TV, minibar, etc.)
KKungeshuotianxiashiFacilities: The facilities look old at any time, but they are actually good. The facilities are also quite complete, toothpaste and toothbrushes are good, as well as cotton swabs and sewing kits. There is a gym, a swimming pool, and the parking lot is quite large, but there are still not enough people and cars during the Spring Festival. The outside of the air conditioner is outside the window, the sound is relatively loud, I hope it can be improved.
Hygienic: The first feeling of the whole room is OK as soon as the door is opened, but when I sleep at night, there is a smell of sewer in the bathroom that spreads to the room. I have to close the bathroom door to smell it.
Environment: The location is 200 meters next to the National Square, 5 minutes walk, and the Spring Festival is also more lively and there is a party. It is not noisy at night. The breakfast room is also relatively large, the environment is elegant, and the dishes are quite complete.
Service: Bring children to stay, lack of toothbrush slippers, tell the front desk 5 minutes after delivery.
Hotel leisure area tea break: a can of tea presented, after two bubbles, tastes good, it is worthy of a tea resort! Forgot to take pictures
AaszdluFacilities: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and bath towels are provided. The room was a little on the small side, but perfectly adequate for a single person.
Location: The guesthouse is located within the ancient village, not far from its center.
Cleanliness: The room was quite tidy, and the fresh bedding smelled clean with no strange odors.
Service: The owner was very welcoming, often inviting guests for tea and patiently answering any questions.
GGuest UserThe owner was really lovely; she offered us complimentary tea, and their black peanuts were delicious! Our room was renovated last year, so it felt quite new. However, the soundproofing wasn't great. I imagine this is typical for guesthouses in scenic areas, as they're often partitioned with thin wooden walls. There's a shared terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy stargazing at night. Didn't take any pictures, but that pretty much sums it up! Haha.
LLisanne SchutReally recommend staying here! We booked this hotel last minute, and were really happy with our stay! We were welcomed with delicious local tea. The hosts helped us rent an electric bike which was perfect for seeing the surrounding villages and ancient tea forests. They were very helpful since we don’t speak any Chinese, but this wasn’t a problem at all. The area is really beautiful and special and Jingmai is one of our favorite places in China so far.
The room itself was spacious, new and very clean. Breakfast was delicious.
GGuest UserI stayed for 3 consecutive days and everything was fine. However, when I checked out, the waiter said I was late and that the latest time was 2 o'clock because the cleaners had all gone off duty. Very unfriendly attitude. I thought I had remembered the time wrong, but when I checked the software I saw that it could indeed be delayed to 3pm. As the screenshot shows, the check-out time was only around 2:15 pm. The girl at the front desk must have forgotten that she is working in the service industry. We don't come out to have fun, not to cause trouble, but it's not okay to suffer bullying for no reason. So for those who haven't reviewed a review for a day, I'd like to give you a good review. You've brought honor to this hotel!
ZZhuzailiuloudelaoyaoThe location is good and easy to find. There is a parking lot. You can watch the clouds rolling in and the sunset from the room. The boss and his family are very warm and simple. The young man is a good cook. Three meals a day are served at his house.
XXiaowangzia-17The only inn in the ancient village of Ligan (seems to be), parking is convenient. There is a parking space in the scenic spot (at the entrance of the village). You can contact the boss to pick up your luggage. People with less luggage walk in quickly. The accommodation conditions are clean as a whole, the whole village is the original village without modification, the locals cook rice and smoke, the room is wooden, the sound is not good, you can take a bath with hot water, although small but complete. The boss is very enthusiastic and there is also a restaurant to eat. At night, just in time for the village celebrations, Zhaixin roasting fire dancing ~ The original ecology is a good place, much better than Wengji, there is no commercialization here, and it is protected.
FFC6685I originally planned to book this hotel to see the sea of clouds, but the weather was too good so there was no sea of clouds. However, the sunrise from the platform of the inn was also great. The owner's family has a large tea factory, and the inn is just a sideline business, so drinking tea and eating are very casual. The owner's wife will take you around the village and see the tea ancestor tree when she has time. It feels very relaxing. I will come again in January next time to see the winter cherry blossoms and the sea of clouds.
