Hotels near JB City Square, Johor Bahru

It was my first time booking an apartment for my family stay. Staff from Fuju Homestay were most helpful even before we started our stay at their property. They were most proactive in briefing and guiding us of the check-in procedures as well as directional and travel options to R&F from CIQ. A little challenge I faced was retrieving the key card from the mail box. No fault of theirs, just my bad eyesight doesn't work well with small size numbers and glare from the lights in the mail box room didnt help much. Upon entering our unit, we were greeted by a very prestine clean condition of the place. The place is very well kept and clean. We had a minor issue with the fan remotes, Fuju staff was extremely fast in their response (faster than calling 999, haha...) Though we didn't manage to resolve the issue, it was still a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Just some comments for improvement would be the labelling for the soap and shampoo. Was a little too small and almost blended in with the background of the tiles. They also have the most interesting bidet spray I've ever come across. Took me awhile to figure out how it really works. Hopefully the surrounding areas of the building will improve quickly. Not much amenities but grabbing around was still convenient. I wish we had more time to explore other parts of the property. We're looking forward to booking another stay there for our next visit. Many thanks to the staff who attended our fan remotes issue, unfortunately forgot to get his name. His help was much appreciated. Overall a very good experience and definitely worth returning for future visits. P/S: Could not upload the video on how to use the bidet spray. Will post on my Google review if possible.

Pros: Very spacious room, comfortable for families or groups 2 queen beds, each comes with 3 firm pillows (good support) Aircon is strong and cools the room quickly Shower water pressure is strong, using Midea water heater Bedsheets, towels, pillowcases are clean and fresh Floor and toilet tiles are clean enough to walk barefoot Overall room hygiene is well maintained Access / Location Notes: There is a separate lift from room floors to Level 5, which brings you out to street level facing City Square Mall Main hotel entrance is via the side next to Public Bank

The Condominium is in between KSL and Holiday Plaza. Very convenient location. Everything is good and new. Too bad the infinity pool is closed for servicing. The 1st night stay was slightly noisy at night from the noise of motorcycles. Avery management is sweet to provide us with complimentary earplugs. Avery management also provided us with free use of Netflix. The aircon was super powerful and the compound is secured with guards on 24/7 duty. Free parking was provided at level 3 and 4 of the building. We will definitely stay here again when we come to JB. Thanks Avery staff for your excellent services provided!

This is our 2nd stay at this place. The first time we took a bus to customs and walk over. This time we drove in and was a bit unsure if we can even park there. When arrival we park at the front and alert the front desk. Was advice to check in first before someone will guide us to park our car. Was pleasantly impressed that this nice boutique hotel has a car lift that can even park some cars. Upon check out we need to alert the front desk to activate their guard to meet us at the car park floor beforehand so that we can drive our car into the car lift. Overall it’s a very nice stay. Nice unblock view. The only setback is the walk from the hotel to the customs with luggage is not going to be convenient especially during rainy weather.

5mins walk to CIQ. Komta shopping mall is just opposite the hotel. Taking grab from hotel is easy. Hotel room is facing Komta shopping mall is abit noisy as there is a pub beside the hotel. Live band singing is very loud and did not stop until 12 midnight. You can’t take a quick shower as you need to have patience to adjust the hot/cold tap to the right temperature otherwise you may get “burnt” from the hot water. We managed the water technique as we stayed the hotel for 2 nights. Hotel bed is comfy and the staff is very nice and helpful.

The hotel is bright and clean, completely stress-free. The shower room and toilet are also separate. All the front desk staff were smiling and very kind. The location seems a bit far from JB Sentral, but it's very close if you cut through the shopping mall. It's about a 15-minute walk to Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque and the zoo. This hotel offers excellent value for money.

Had a pleasant one-night stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru. The hotel is clean, modern, and very conveniently located near JB Sentral and shopping malls, making it perfect for a short getaway or business trip. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing night. The bed was especially comfortable and the room had a nice city view. Breakfast selection was decent with both local and international choices. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Johor Bahru.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment you check in. Any requests were handled quickly and with a smile, which really made the stay feel special. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and good value for the price. Perfect base for exploring Johor Bahru without the hassle of long commutes. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting JB!

It has everything we need Good proximity to Customs, comfortable bedding, shared ironing facilities and very clean. We enjoyed our stay. My mum usually doesn't sleep well when she travels but she shared the bedding was so comfortable that she slept well. The only downside is its proximity to the road. I can hear the traffic at night and during the day, interrupting my sleep.

Was doing my usual monthly trip to Paradigm Mall for my regular TCM checkup. Too lazy to travel back so decided to stay in KSL over the night and chump on the pasar malam, as usual. Did the usual foot bath and bought some snacks to bring back as well. Nothing much, just the usual.
