Camar Resort Langkawi

Special Thanks to Putri and Mila and all the staff of Camar Resort. The location was quite deserted with construction on the other side. But once you enter the resort you feel welcome. As we booked Beach Wing, our resort is just next to the Pantai Tengah beach. Quiet and so peaceful. It did not like those hotels near Cenang. if those who prefer happening can stay near Pantai Cenang. FYI, Beach Wing resort there's no lift. Two storey high. So you need to take the stairs to bring up and down your luggage. Thanks to Mila who answered my email and my phone enquiry and accommodated my request for 1 room on the first level. I really appreciate her assistant. Hopefully Camar management should consider to build lift at the Beach Wing resort. My room can only see the garden and partial beach. The cafe was right near the beach and you can eat your breakfast with the view of the beach. Next to our resort is the Ngopi Cafe. The overall stay was marvelous. Last but not least there are varieties of breakfast spread from Asian to western The photos express our memories in Camar Resort Langkawi.. Love the beach very much can even swimming. Watching the sunset is amazing. Hopefully if I return to Camar in 2 yrs time, there should be a lift at the Beach Wing resort.

The resort doesn't have laundry service; you have to carry your dirty clothes and walk outside the resort to wash them. The beds are a bit short and unsuitable for tall people. The resort is almost deserted and unoccupied; I don't know if this is due to poor service or its distance from the city center. It's also relatively far from the city center, so you need to rent a scooter or a private car to get around daily.

Pros: Good breakfast, clean beach, less crowded location, and only 15 minutes from the airport. Cons: The reception staff were arrogant and not hospitable. There were old, dirty slippers in the room, old furniture with a rusty mirror, dirty curtains, and visible dust. One of the beds was uneven, and we had to put paper under one of its legs so it wouldn’t move. It does not feel like a four-star hotel. Upon arrival, guests are given a list of rules that may result in additional charges (for example, staining their towels or bedsheets).

Not really a good hotel experience. The female receptionist was not friendly or welcoming, and overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, this is not a hotel I would choose to stay at again. The hotel is totally overpriced. High ratings on Ctrip seem fake, as the hotel is almost entirely filled with Chinese guests, with very few international guests. • Poor Service: Painfully slow check-in. I was forced to pay a 120 MYR surcharge for my child, but received no extra bed, no kid's towels, and no kid's slippers. • Terrible Beach & Noise: A massive sewage pipe empties right onto the hotel beach, causing a gross smell. Cenang Beach is much better. There’s also construction noise next door. • Bad Room Conditions: The 40sqm room is so poorly laid out it can't fit a child's bed. The tap water is yellow. Drains are extremely slow, and the bathtub was completely clogged upon arrival. No disposable slippers provided. • Cheap Breakfast: Very limited food and they only serve instant coffee—unacceptable for this price point. • The Only Pro: The swimming pool is large and nice.
