The staff were incredibly friendly. The room had been recently renovated, so the bedding and furniture felt quite new. Most of the room was clean, but the mat under the bed seemed to have been missed during cleaning; I could feel sand on my bare feet, which wasn't pleasant. Aside from that, I loved everything! The mirror and sink in the bathroom seemed to be pre-renovation, giving them an older feel, but they were perfectly functional. The hot water worked great, and the air conditioning was very cool and quiet! Personally, I found the breakfast excellent. I stayed for 2 nights and the breakfast selection varied a bit! You could order scrambled eggs or omelets, and they'd make them fresh on the spot! Plus, with the pool right in front, it was a lovely spot to just zone out and enjoy the meal! If I come back, I'd definitely want to stay here again.

We were given the most secluded room, which seemed to be the one they skimped on. Our room had a terrible shower with a broken showerhead. Our friends, on the other hand, got a room near the reception and had a decent rain shower. Overall, though, the room was clean and cozy. We didn't use the pool. The breakfast was modest, but there was enough to eat (eggs, salad, toast), plus rice, noodles, and pastries. For fruits, they had watermelon, apples, and oranges.

I prefer the standard twin room; it's better laid out than the suites. Each room has a tap outside, which is perfect for washing off sand after a day at the beach before heading inside! The street at Cenang Beach is bustling every day, and the hotel is pretty much in the middle of the walking street, making it super convenient to get around. I particularly liked Ah Hee Fruit Shop across the road and Beach Cove at the beach entrance, where you can grab a wrap!
