Holiday Villa Resort & Beachclub Langkawi

We had mixed feelings about this resort. The beach wasn’t bad, the rooms and hotel seems to be a little old and after our opinion is a bit overrated. You do not even get free daily water and charges 10 RM for filtered water. The pool had a lot of sharp corners / tiles. The breakfast wasn’t that good. Olè Cafe has much better food or across the road / in front of the hotel there were better options for breakfast. No activities was scheduled like water sports / beach volley etc. some (not all) of the staff wasn’t smiling and we felt like was not happy to serve us.

The location was great and the staff were Friendly. However, service was quite slow for food and drinks. The beach wasn't ranked or cleaned regularly and there were often cups and stuff like empty coconuts left from the previous night when we would go to the beach in the morning (like 10am so not insanely early). The room was nice but dated and the regular cleaning staff did well, but it needed a deep clean. For example, the Windows we're dirty (on The outside) and the inside was a bit moldy from the ac unit causing condensation. The coconut the frog has was left there on the table. Bed

The location is superb, right in front of the beach, which is definitely a big plus. However, I was quite disappointed with the cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel—it feels run down and not well maintained. I was also surprised by the policy for using the swimming pool. There is a charge of RM30 per person, and even after informing the staff that I planned to order food with a total spend of RM150 or more, the entrance fee still applied. This doesn’t seem reasonable and reflects poorly on the management. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and I won’t be visiting again. I do hope the hotel improves its service and facilities in the future.

Hotel has a great pool and also is tight on the beach, lots of loungers as well. Rooms are a bit dated but the amenities are very good.

Really great stay at Holiday Villas, has more than everything you need for a great holiday. The rooms are dated but they are clean and have all the facilities you need. The balconies feel a bit risky for young children so maybe requesting a ground floor room is better. The setting is perfect. The beach is so nice and there are more than enough sun loungers, toilets nearer the beach would be helpful as it is quite a walk for people from the beach. Overall great stay.

Very poor cleaning. Check in at 3pm but my room settle cleaning at 5.30pm. Then da check in lantai masih berpasir. Then we asked housekeeping just put the broom in my room and i clean up by myself. Later we pull the bed at the living hall & we found animal’s poo on the bed. Then we call housekeeping to change the bedsheet. But while changing it, we saw a snake under the bed!!! Obviously the previous cleaning session didnt clean properly since they didnt notice the snake under the bed. This is very ridiculous & dangerous since we have baby in the room.

Although it was a major holiday, check in was smooth. The view from our room was fantastic, couldn't ask for more. The sunset was one of the prettiest I have seen.
