The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good. There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable. One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.

Remote workers - This is almost the perfect place! Great atmosphere, large open tables inside and outside in the shade. Chill out spaces, private and amongst bean bags. Air con, free water, cool cafe, cheap food nearby and a short walk to the beach and town/shopping mall. Very close to the airport and main port. Booked one night in the female-only dorm, and ended up extending for at least 7 days! Staff and guests have been extremely friendly and interesting! Owners are making Tubotel the “go-to” hub for remote workers. Loved it! Would come back again, so accessible with flights from Australia and Asia!
