Pullman la Pléiade Montpellier Centre

Pullman la Pléiade Montpellier Centre ★★★★

📍 1 Rue des Pertuisanes, Montpellier

"I saw a super beautiful sunrise here. It is very close to the Drama Square, just walk out of the mall; there are many restaurants around, and there are many interesting shops on the other side of the Drama Square, which is suitable for a leisurely stroll."

"The shower head in the bathroom doesn't have a fixed rod, and you have to hold it with your hands, which is very inconvenient"

Maison DIX

Maison DIX ★★★★

📍 10 Av. de la Gare, Neffies

"What a truly wonderful place to stay! Maison Dix is beautiful. The online photos don’t do it justice. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The communal areas are superb, both inside and out. There is nothing more you could need- from the pool, pétanque, sitting areas and a fully kitted out kitchen. Marie’s hospitality is second to none and the breakfasts? Encroyable!"

"The hair dryer didn’t work in my first room, the staff helped to change to another room in the end. Good location, friendly staff."

Les Bulles de Mer

Les Bulles de Mer ★★★★

📍 28 Av. Armand Lanoux, Saint-Cyprien

"Quiet, peaceful, clean hotel right on the beach. We had a relaxing one-week stay at the hotel in a spacious deluxe room with an amazing balcony with a view of the pool and ocean. We arrived at the end of the season so it wasn't crowded. The restaurant has amazing fresh and healthy food, the staff is nice and friendly - most speak English too. Private parking, daily housekeeping, good breakfast (I do wish they prepared the eggs; you have to prepare them yourself, but other than that, it was good), towels/chairs available at pool. There's a beach club 5 mins walk away with chairs, umbrellas, restaurant but it closed a few days after we arrived in early Sept. Lots of running/biking trails in the area. Restaurants within 15-20 min walk. Small mini-grocery store 5 min walk away. We'd love to come back to this hotel - very quiet, peaceful, tranquil. "

Chateau de Raissac
9.3 (25 reviews)

Chateau de Raissac ★★★★

📍 Rte de Murviel, Beziers

"This chateau was a real find - such a different place to stay compared to a "typical" luxury hotel experience. Don't expect bellboys, elevators, room service, climate control or shower jets. Do expect a real sense of history, authentic decor, friendly personalized service, and an abundance of art (painting and ceramics) either created or collected by the artist owners. We stayed in the 3-bedroom suite which was reasonably spacious for a family of 4. Be aware that you'll need to carry your luggage up two long flights of stairs, you'll be sharing one bathroom, and the aircon is only in the main bedroom (the 2 "kids" bedrooms have portable fans instead). You'll need to drive or take a taxi/Uber into the town of Beziers, which is a really pretty town with lots to see."

"The location was excellent , hotel nice and small , reception staff lovely , good size bedrooms and cleaners did a great job , Shower great would definitely stay again . Shame air conditioning was pre programmed at a certain temperature as I was very warm at night and couldn’t get the room any cooler so didn’t sleep well ."

"Extremely disappointed with our stay. The location is pleasant, although very out of the way. However, the services were completely inadequate. The rooms were spartan, and strangely enough, the standard rooms had a better location than the superior rooms, which had no view and were overlooked. There was barely a bottle of body and hair soap. No body lotion, no conditioner. The furniture was damaged (the bathroom drawer had fallen). No towels were provided for pool access. The bar menu was very limited in soft drinks, and what little there was wasn't stocked! A cappuccino costing 6 euros was just a tiny latte from an automatic machine. There was no decoration whatsoever. Breakfast was extremely basic, and the hours were limited. All this for an exorbitant price! It doesn't even deserve 3 stars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"The 4-bed room is large with a nice terrace. In summer, it's clearly located in the heart of the restaurants and very close to the beach."

Hôtel de Castigno - Wine Hotel & Resort Hotels in Languedoc-Roussillon

Hôtel de Castigno - Wine Hotel & Resort

"The village is to-die-for charming. Yet, even though the locals seem pretty chilled about half of their village being painted purple for the European glitterati, you can't help on occasion feeling like an extra in a Truman Show-esque experiment. Vis those rooms, the biggest and most expensive (prestige cuvee) have flaws. Namely that they're very dark, compounded by the fact the windows face straight onto the street necessitating having the curtains closed the whole time. The "private terrace" is redundant, being as it is right in the street - passers by often pause for a rest in your chairs. And for folks in a new relationship, these rooms would be downright awkward! You sit on the loo in front of a big glass door directly facing the bed. And so there you sit, all lit up in purple as you execute your holiest of holies. Conversely, the next room tier down, vintage cuvee, are on the first floor with huge windows you can throw up open to enjoy the glorious views, and some have rolltop baths in the bedroom. Much better. There were a few niggles - hot food and fresh fruit should NOT run out half hour before breakfast closes in a hotel of this calibre - but otherwise it's quite a magical experience. For a while, at least. My takeout is that if one were to visit for a night or two as part of a road-trip around the Languedoc, then this would be a memorable stopover. But as a destination, the undeniable quirkiness and uniqueness wears off pretty quickly, leaving one wanting for a more traditional hotel experience."

"Better than expected! The hotel environment is very unique. The room is spacious and bright, the facilities are new and well maintained, the shower water pressure is sufficient, and the sound insulation is good. The staff service is particularly good. The breakfast is worth a try. Highly recommended!"

Maison DIX ★★★★
"We booked Maison Dix from Google reviews so we could go to the Allegria vineyard nearby for dinner and wine tasting. It turned out to be a great decision. Marie is the best host, She couldn’t do enough to help, including a lift to and from Allegria! The accommodation itself is excellent, very comfortable with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was great, and Marie gave us a great pointer to the Gorge d’Heric. Highly recommended, and we will be back, with friends in tow."

"I’m sure it’s a nice hotel, the decor is modern and clean we didn’t stay here but ate in the restaurant. Food was poor the toughest steak I’ve ever eaten (all left on plate) nobody asked whether we liked it and expensive over €100 for two. It’s a pity nice location and a good restaurant would be an attraction but this is very ordinary."

Chateau de Raissac ★★★★
"What a treat. The chateau was magnificent with allot of charm and character. We loved the art and history of the place. It was magical. We had a chance to roam and explore the house and gardens we were free to explore freely. We had some fab wines and a simple and delicious evening meal. The room was charming and spacious and spotless. We also explored the wine yard the following day where we met a very charming lady called Marine who shared her incredible knowledge of the region and vineyards and in all honesty made our stay even more memorable. Thanks for a fantastic stay. We home to be back one day soon. "

Hôtel le Maritime ★★★
"Facilities: Honestly, for a price under 500, I have nothing to complain about regarding the environment. It's very quiet, and the hotel even has an adorable Border Collie. It's less than a 5-minute walk from the beach. Service: The front desk closes at 10 pm, and check-in is self-service. It's fairly convenient. I didn't try the 9.9 yuan breakfast buffet, but I recommend it. Most of the cafes on the street are closed, so you'll have to go to the Carrefour supermarket in town… Environment: The bathroom is very small; even a girl would feel cramped standing inside. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a door, so water splashes everywhere."
