If you want a REAL country pub, this for me has to be one of the best if not the best pub I've every been to in that regard. For me a pub is about hospitality, it being the centre of the community and how welcome you feel. Tim, the landlord will make you feel like your part of the family! Nothing is too much and for my wife and I we felt as though we were sat in a warm cosy living room with a roaring fire. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and had a lovely country feel. The locals were the salt of the earth and made us feel welcome to join in conversation and laughter! The beer and food was great with an exceptional breakfast! All produce sourced locally. Would highly recommend!

We only stopped for lunch this time. Which we enjoyed very much. Lovely staff. Pub has character and is in a Hamlet Very reasonable rates for meal and drinks. Beautiful country side. We recommend the Crown Inn. Well worth a visit. Just to add we also enjoy our stay in 2022.

Booked The Crown Inn for a family stay. The place itself is unspoiled and is well looked after by the owners and staff. The rooms are both within the inn or within the grounds. Outer buildings have been refitted and used as guest rooms. The whole place is in keeping with what you would expect for an old English inn in Cornwall. The rooms are well equipped, very clean and tastefully decorated, again with what you would want to see in the Cornwall countryside. The hosts Tim and Jos are welcoming and approachable. The crown is evidently well liked by locals as this was reflected in how busy it was. That said, the place is quiet and is a place to relax. The food was more than acceptable and both my family and I cannot think of a reasonable criticism. I would definitely stay again and have no reservations about recommending this place.

We stayed at the Crown Inn as we were going to the Eden project for a music gig, so glad we did. What a pretty well presented Inn, beautifully clean with so many extra touches, from fresh flowers and a decanter of sherry in our bedroom to the food which was freshly cooked and delicious, they even arranged a minibus to and from the Eden project. Thank you for doing it so right

Husband and mate have just returned from an Eden Project session- and stayed at the best pub ever… Hospitality was in bucket load, let alone the decanter of sherry in their room! Shuttle bus back from Eden was great, and lift back over this morning by Tim, sheer kindness. What can I say, other than being unwell, I wasn’t able to go along on this treat… so a mate stepped in to take my place … Just wanted to say, on their behalf- thank you for the amazing hospitality… The Crown is a real gem x

Fantastic meal on a Sunday recently with my mum. Excellent service by all staff. Very friendly and welcoming and lovely atmosphere. I have a number of food intolerances unfortunately and at times this can be very frustrating when eating out and half the time the restaurant cannot or will not accommodate these intolerances. However not at The Crown Inn. The chef actually came out to see me and sat next to me to ask me what I could eat and not eat and he gave me some ideas of what he could cook for me too. He ended up cooking a fantastic and delicious meal I could eat and enjoy so thank you to the chef for that!! We will be returning again soon. Highly recommended
