Fantastic staff and facilities. The buffets are somewhat poor for the level of the hotel. In general I liked

Booked Lanzarote Royal Level as a last minute for winter sun for a 5 night stay. We had a deluxe suite which had exclusive privileges and access to private restaurant pools and garden and access to facilities at Active Resort across the road. The hotel was positioned on a quiet road lovely location stunning pools and sea views..our room was massive with complementary mini bar on arrival and filled daily with water only. Large tv with English channels but tv in bedroom were Spanish. Channel 29 was the only one we found ok. Massive bed deep mattress fantastic night sleep..Good size balcony and with lovel seaviews and overlooking private pool and garden. Self-service food drinks and snacks available all day.. lots of fresh seafood options in Asana restaurant everyday. Lots of sunbeds tables and chairs available around the pools.. weather hit 27 which was unreal in January. Friendly staff and a lovely place to stay.. Bus stop outside the hotel we did 3 trips and visited Arricife, Costa Teguise and spent a few hours in Puerto del Carmen One of the best places we enjoyed staying met other couples had a great time and would definitely go back.

First off...despite the 4 / 5 stars, we had a lovely family holiday. If you're booked to come, I've no doubt you'll have a great time and you'll make the best of the hotel. But we won't return. And I wouldn't recommend Royal Level sadly. There are so many positives. The room we had was recently refurbished, the terrace we had was huge, the team at the Royal Level bar were always friendly. It's a very clean place. The food massively lets this place down. Breakfast was fine. Lunch in the breeze pool was ok. The evening buffet was poor. Limp vegetables for vegetarians and poorly replenished food meant we either ate at the larger buffet (non Royal Level) or ate out. It's worth knowing that there are very few places nearby for a stroll. And the views over the de-salination / wind turbines aren't the best. Sunbed wars are strong here. If you want one of the pods...be up before sunrise. And expect to be frustrated by people not using them. Our two boys loved the kids club. So thank you to the team at the Barcy Club. Like I say, we had a lovely family getaway. But we'll book elsewhere in future.

The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. My main complaint, and the reason for the average rating, is that paying a significant amount extra for the sea view really wasn’t worth it. The sea view in my room was rather obstructed (see photo). I asked to change to a room with a better sea view and was shown another “royal level” room which oddly was in the different part of the hotel, away from the royal level section and facilities. I therefore opted to stay with the initial room, and there was no follow up from management despite having raised a complaint. At least I did not get one of the rooms with the sea view of the desalination plant - see other reviews on this. Overall, a nice hotel but I won’t return as it certainly wasn’t good value paying for a sea view

A hotel with so much potential but didn’t meet expectations . We bought into the Royal level , a premium sea view room with the benefit of reserved areas for such guests and a higher level of service . From the start our experience did not meet that expected and at points the hotel failed at the basics . We arrived just after 2 and check in was not until 3 however we could make immediate use of facilities . We went straight to the reserved Asana restaurant where our first meal was strong . It was free seating and the table was served drinks promptly . The buffet was plentiful and variant , although I did make comment that few dishes were actually labelled and you had to use the same serving thongs for multiple dishes . We had been told we would be notified when our room was ready but by 3:30 this had not happened so we made our own way back to get the room keys ( apparently the desk was busy so there wasn’t the time to call guests ) The room itself was stylish , sizeable and comfortable . However after the first shower , we realised the rainfall shower was actually too powerful for the drainage system and would flood the floor if we continued to use it . The sea view room was more of an obstructed sea view and we were on the top floor . To have a premium view you would have to stand sideward on the balcony . And the noise from the pool as the fitness classes were on was so irritating . You would have to close the balcony doors to drown out the sound . Way too loud and echoed so badly . Also the fridge was cool not cold . All of which we reported and got attended to but with no notable success. Worst experience with regards to the room was it not being serviced 2 days in a row , this was with us both putting the sign out and reporting it on the app . Not acceptable . The Asana restaurant went from a pleasant experience to nothing more than the standard buffet . There appeared to be fewer staff as the week went on . There were days we waited for tables to be cleaned before we could sit even though they had been vacated some time . You would have to try to make eye contact with a server for drinks . At 2 breakfasts we got no service at all for the entire duration even though a server walked past us time and time again . She just never noticed we were a new table . They seemed distant and uninterested . The food although of a good quality became so repetitive , it was odd at times with nothing really matching . Stir fry pasta ??? Labelling was appalling , it really was guess work as to what you were eating , I even asked a chef once about a dish and he didn’t even know what was in it . And the thongs were a real bug of mine . Why in 2023 after all we have been thru you cannot have a singular serving spoon for every dish I do not know . Cross contamination at its finest . Thankfully we don’t have allergies . We also dined at the Italian restaurant on advice of a team member and wished we hadn’t , we didn’t get the full menu we were supposed t

We are staying in the Royal section of the hotel this time and I’m actually disappointed to say the least. The royal section bed rooms are an all in one room. We took the less expensive option the last time we came last March and the rooms are 100 times better. We had a living area and a separate bedroom. Nothing really additional the Royal. Could not get a sun loungersin the exclusive Royal pool area and also a better choice for food in the restaurants that all guests can use.

Good family fun. Kids loved the kids club. All the staff were excellent. Very chilled and enjoyable. Alex, paulo, Christine, were great dancers. My kids are now experts. Thankfully the bar staff took pity on me and poured a big red wine! Mucho gracias!

This was our second visit to this hotel and it will be our last after a comment a member of staff said who worked at the bar in the royal pool side. Not only to me but then to my partner whilst ordering a *****ni cocktail. Food Breakfast was really good catering for everyone. It was run really well and plates cleared quickly Only had lunch at the royal pool which was only tapas and salads but was good. Evening meal was the worst. Not much choice and Luke warm. I think it was ran very different to the breakfast session. The first night we got couple of glasses of wine and water. After that it depended on where you sat. We didn’t always get offered water and never offered a top up of wine again. Outside area a lot of the tables were not laid out and a few times I had to search for cutlery. Outside took forever to clear plates away too. Staff Apart from the guy behind the pool bar they were all lovely and worked hard. Pools We only used the royal side. It was clean with plenty of sun loungers although this year people laid their towels out and were gone for hours. Not the hotels fault but so many children this time in the pools compared to last year which was much more relaxing and quieter. We actually thought it was an adult pool not family. Rooms We had the deluxe junior suite. It wasn’t as nice. This time didn’t think it was worth the extra money. In our bedroom we could here next door and there was a screaming child 6am every morning and midnight. Again not hotels fault but our last room was so much quieter. Overall I think the comment the guy made behind the bar has put us off big time from returning to this hotel. But also this time I just didn’t think the royal side was worth the money. People were going into the royal pool side with not the correct wristbands on and same with the royal restaurant. It didn’t feel as special on the royal side as it did last year. It could be it’s got more popular but for the money compared to Turkey AI it just wasn’t worth the money.

Lovely hotel with great food and the most amazing staff. Very relaxing and plenty to do if you so wish. Ideal if you’re sporty, but equally ideal if you just are there to relax. There are two sides to the hotel on either side of the road. We stayed in the main building side of the road as we were in Royal Level but it was nice at the other side too.
