ibis Laon

One particular receptionist was so rude it was laughable. She clearly hates the English, but if you work in hospitality you need to transcend your prejudices, surely? On a plus side, the cleaning staff were lovely and the breakfast pretty good. But reception is the shop window, so please speak to this rude woman.

Overnight at the Laon Sadly we were not offered a warm welcome. We were made to feel we were a big inconvenience. The receptionist was eating a meal and did not want to be disturbed. Apparently she told me she was coming but I thought she was talking to her coworker and didn’t hear her anyway. She told me she was looking straight at me so of course she was addressing me! She told us the manager made her do her receptionist duties even when she was trying to eat a meal. Sadly, a negative start to our stay so we chose not to stay and have drink at the bar for fear of inconveniencing her further and getting told off again. No the welcome we expected at all.

We had an excellent stay in the Ibis Laon. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the room was clean and serviced both days. Very good food , drinks and polite service. Also a secure car park over night. Altogether great value for money

For an Ibis this was poor Lift not working fortunately we only had to carry our luggage up to the first floor. Limited restaurant, could only cater for 5 tables with a very limited menu.Foam top to mattress made it too warm. No power points in room just 1 in the bathroom.

Great location Great location and lovely town

The hotel rooms very good having been recently renovated. Good location. Good breakfast. A shame that we didn’t know the restaurant would be closed, we were able to have pizza delivered and use the restaurant tables. Helpful staff. Tired reception and bare area but clean.
