Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa Reviews

Our stay at Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa was filled with several issues. On our first night, the room’s air conditioning wasn’t working properly. After failed attempts to fix it and being moved to a room that was too small, we ended up paying for an upgraded room where the A/C was still weak on the first night and my niece had to sleep on the floor. The hallways were also not air conditioned, adding to the discomfort. We booked 3 rooms, paid for the day use for our whole family and spent generously on food and tips. The staff were respectful and polite throughout our stay which we appreciate. Middle(405) room’s shower and exhaust fan was damaged even when we just got there. Only my niece reported it coz I don’t really care. However, checkout was very frustrating. Housekeeping insisted that towels were missing even though we never took any and one room had checked out earlier. Because we were in a hurry that we might miss our International flight, we were forced to pay P2,550, for the towels we did not take. On top of that, the taxi arranged by the hotel refused to used the meter and charged a fixed P800 to the airport which he’d been told by the hotel staff to charged us, which felt dishonest and unfair. I am from Cebu I know how much and how far the airport is. Way too much!!! Overall, despite the respectful staff, the combined issues with the rooms, false charges and overpriced taxi/van made the stay very disappointing.

On our first night, we checked in late due to prior commitments. The air conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, so we requested for it to be fixed. When they couldn’t repair it, we asked for a fan instead of transferring, but they moved us to another room that was too small and 1 bed only. We then requested for an upgrade for 2 nights and paid later upon check out. Even in the upgraded room, the a/c was still not cold enough on the first night, so my niece had to slept on the floor. Thankfully, the a/c improved by the next day.

Check In took a long time . Pool near the spa was not open until passed 10AM

The bedroom could have been bigger if the bathroom was smaller. The AC wasnt cold enough for 4 people. TV didnt have good programs to watch especially for foreigners. Breakfast was good. Staff were nice.

This hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and offers excellent value with a pool and breakfast included. The beachside breakfast buffet was a truly memorable experience. All the staff members were incredibly kind and attentive. The rooftop bar was fantastic; the gentle evening breeze combined with delicious food made for a perfect experience. Overall, it was the perfect hotel for an enjoyable and cost-effective stay. I'd love to return for a long-term stay, perhaps for a month, after I retire! My only minor disappointment was the weak Wi-Fi connection.

Clean and sandy, yet small beach area. Large pool.  Friendly and helpful employees. EXCELLENT breakfast buffet with many choices. Easy to take taxi or tricycle to areas for shopping, food, and massage.

Had a fantastic stay. Staff is fantastic and the facilities are great. I highly recommend this resort and their spa.

Its called white sand, so I was hoping for a nice beach. The beach is not really a beach, its a small portion of sand where you can't even swim... I took a superior room and it was not clean, way over priced. The only things I like is the rooftop restaurant and that that the staff is very friendly ;) They should really change name though, the sand isn't even white!

Although our room was a little bit old, we enjoyed the garden and relaxing environment. Originally booked a night at Bluewater, but they were fully booked so we booked here. Although Bluewater has a better beach and pools, white sands is definitely more relaxing.

Amenities is good. Had issue logging in to net and no cable tv.

Altogether satisfactory. No real view but the room was spacious and well equipped. Wifi a bit weak but functional. Weak reception for mobile networks due to the hotel location, away from the main road. Very good breakfast buffet and very nice hotel staff. Direct açess to the beach but not a location where you can swim and high presence of very persistant vendors (for boat rides, jetski etc). Shops nearby and a few restaurants (but the hotel insisted that food and drinks cannot be brought from outside...).
