The location is not bad, but the cleanliness is the worst as you can smell the mold the moment you enter the room, and the facilities are the worst as the bed mattress is old and sunken in the middle.

Stayed here on our Camino walk. The location is good if you like the beach where we hung out for a good while!! Lots of restaurants were closed ? Maybe because we were coming into autumn. So imagine faulty towers and a mariner had a baby= this is hotel el Ancla. Had a peak about 30-40 years ago. Its like a maritime museum with a smell to match. Very musty throughout the hotel, the rooms are very dated and the beds old, got to love the green carpet!!! Slept with the window open as it was a warmish night and that was the only way to have airflow…. Got bitten by a few bugs as a consequence!!! Nice space outside but a bit unkempt. staff weren’t overly friendly.

Very quaint place to stay. We loved the old world ambiance. Breakfast didn’t offer enough protein but was good. The beach is a close walk. Very nice place to stay. It was hot so we had to sleep with the windows open and could hear some people talking in the courtyard until really late.

Very friendly and caring colleagues, a very homey feeling of the place, cute and a bit eccentric, in a positive way.
Felt closed though, as it hadn’t been used or aired out for a while. Old not very comfortable beds.
Nice personally served breakfast.
A good experience even if there are some upgrades needed.

Nautically-themed comfortable hotel
The hotel feels dated but it's nautically themed so it's forgiveable. Found myself having to isolate a buzzing switchboard however at night to sleep. Great staff, nice comfortable room and a decent shower. Bit of a walk from the bus station but would be a short taxi ride and plenty of on street parking available. Close to the beach.
