Stayed here this October 30th to November 2nd, 2023. Prices were very much inflated due to F1 race, Halloween, etc. The location isn't the best. It is a quite a walk to the better part of the ***** and you pass through some very sketchy scenes in terms of homeless, drug use, filth, etc. It definitely does not feel safe at night, so try to stick with a group of people whenever you can. The hotel itself is okay. Despite allegedly being newly remodeled, it still seems outdated. Parking is $15 a night, but with what is offered at this location, it should be free. There is nothing of value in or near the hotel, other than the stratosphere viewing tower (another additional fee) to warrant a parking fee. The ****** seems small and limited in gaming variety compared to a lot of other places. The overall restaurant selection is very lackluster, which made it difficult to feed a group composed of varying eating habits and restrictions. Check-in was quick yet messy as the self check-in kiosks were not working properly and failed to issue room keys. This resulted in a number of guests having to obtain keys from a nearby employee (which took some time as phone reception and wifi were lousy, not allowing for receipt of email or text including the room # for confirmation). The room was clean yet dusty, if that makes sense. Our bedside table had an unidentified sticky brown substance dropping down the front of it... which, of course, I unexpectedly stuck my hand right in! *gag!* The beds were spotless, which was surprising! Our TV only worked sporadically, as the cable continually failed to go in and out of service. The wifi is problematic as it would get very slow and seemingly cut out entirely at times. The bathrooms were of good size with adequate water pressure and hot water... until there were water issues where they had to turn off the water supply to rooms on the afternoon of November 1st. This made it very inconvenient for a number of people in our party that were unable to shower and get ready for planned events properly on scheduled time. The rooms (at least ours) do not have refrigerators - this was problematic as we had stopped at a grocery store to purchase items that needed to be cold. The walls are thin here. You can clearly hear conversations and music from the rooms next to you, yet realize they are not even being "loud." Staff is friendly overall, minus one woman that continually tried to lure us into time-share antics every time she saw us. It is what it is. Would I stay here again? Most likely not. When fees are at their "normal" rate, it is still better to pay a bit extra and stay in the center of the *****. This is especially true if you plan to be walking to other locations, etc. as hinted at above. Luckily, the majority of the time, we were not in our room or inside the hotel at all. Hopefully our next Vegas trip, wherever we stay, is a better experience.
