California Hotel and Casino Reviews

The room was clean. The location is close to Fremont but far enough away to not hear it. The cocktail waitress showed up quickly and came by a lot to check. Overall, the entire staff has a wonderful attitude and very helpful. Ate on site and it was good. 

Reception were not very welcoming I felt. Room was not bad, but when I opened up my wardrobe, there was a pair of mens used underwear in it. I told reception and they didn't seem to bothered, just got someone to remove them. No real apology or offer to say sorry. ****** floor has strong odours of smoke. Hotel has good location. Bell boy kept my bag for me after check out and they were very helpful. 50/50 if I'd stay again

The California Hotel is close to everything Freemont has to offer. The location is key for someone who wants to tour around on foot and visit a number of ******* and shops. Access to Hotel is excellent and the parking garage location and ease of access is a real bonus. Not to mention the cost of parking is included in the booking price of the room. I enjoyed my stay at the California and would stay there again.

The overall experience was very average, as it looked completely different from the pictures online. The hotel itself is rather old. While the cleaning was acceptable, the facilities are noticeably outdated and in need of renovation.

Customer service was good and the room was great for the price. The only downside I have is that none of the rooms have a microwave. Besides that I can't complain.

Absolutely divine and luxurious staff was astoundingly accommodating and caring to every need and request ****** was Poppin for the fourth and we have enjoyed every second of our trip to the California ****** and hotel would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Las Vegas

-Great location. Walking distance to everything on Fremont St but far away enough that the noise from Fremont isn't bothersome. -Nice and clean and the room didn't have any bad smells. -Nice sized clean pool! The water was freezing cold. I would have enjoyed being in it more if it was slightly warm - but my friends loved it! The only thing I would change is adding more umbrellas and lounge chairs and maybe have a bar up there or have a ****** server periodically check the pool for people wanting drinks. Would absolutely stay again!

Hotel is a bit older, but glad I booked their newer rooms. They could use a little more cleaning, but it was okay for a few nights. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed the market street cafe downstairs. Loved all the island offerings and made me feel right at home. The elevator situation is terrible, there were 3 that went to our tower and there was always 1 or 2 that wasn't working. Having someone in a wheelchair made it difficult at times, but other guests were all accommodating. We had some hot slots there and they have some newer machines that we enjoyed playing. Overall, we had a good stay.

Main street hotel Little bit far from ***** Uber 20-30usd Bathroom is not narrow. Others are all not bad.

Had a very nice experience on a busy day and the staff was very accommodating.

Good place okay location!

We had a great stay at the California Hotel and ******. It is more casual. Great table games in the ******, staff was always friendly and accomodating, and the location was perfect. I would recommend the hotel for a reasonable stay in Vegas.

Bed sags and your back will be stiff the next morning.

The location in the old town isn't great; it's quite far from the attractions. The front desk staff were annoying; they mistreated me because I'm Asian and gave me a room at the end of the corridor.
