Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Reviews

We booked Mandalay Bay but were given a room at W, which was lovely. We had a really spacious suite with two queen beds, a separate living room, two toilets, a bathtub and a separate shower. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the bathroom as the bath water started coming through into the shower area and the shower drain was blocked, which resulted in some of our clothes getting soaked. However, the staff handled it really well and moved us to another room within minutes, so no complaints about how quickly it was dealt with. I asked if they could complimentary wash a couple of tops and shorts that had got soaked, which they weren’t able to do, but they did offer us a $50 food and drinks credit instead, which was appreciated. There is a free tram that takes you to Excalibur until midnight, which is useful, but from there it’s still around a 20–30 minute walk to Planet Hollywood and the more central part of the *****. Overall, the hotel and room were lovely and the staff dealt with our problem quickly, but personally I wouldn’t book again purely because of the location. I would prefer to stay somewhere more central on the ***** next time.

The hotel's location is indeed excellent, with convenient transportation, making it very suitable for those attending exhibitions. There's an entertainment venue downstairs, and plenty of shows nearby, so the overall atmosphere is quite lively. My stay was generally satisfactory.

This review is for people who come to Vegas and select this hotel for whatever convention is going on nearby. First of all there is no breakfast as you would expect, instead you should figure out yourself in nearby restaurants that are not ran by the hotel, gets very crowded in the mornings and it is not buffet and not cheap at all. Second is the drinks and amenities in the room: sensor activated, if you pick it up and don’t open then put back - they still will charge because you picked it up and sensor activated, this is just grinding money on customers mistakes - what if there are kids in the room and took one by mistake? Fridge is full of paid drinks and snacks and you don’t have space to store your food bought elsewhere, like yogurts, instead they offer you a fridge at the reception, which is not close at all. Overall this hotel is overpriced, full of smoking people on the ground floor in the ******. In addition check-inns are very busy in the afternoon and lines can take up to 30 minutes. One small bitter taste was when I came to a free receptionist to ask a question about where are food deliveries are, before even asking my question I was met with a annoyed phrase “I am not doing check-in right now so go and find someone else”, this behavior is just unacceptable for such an expensive hotel!

Located at the end of the *****, close to Las Vegas airport. The biggest draw is definitely the water park, complete with a wave pool, lazy river, and a sandy beach. By 9 AM, there were already many people lining up to get in. It's really great for families with kids!

The hotel was clean and tidy, and conveniently located near the convention center. The rooftop bar offered great views overlooking the city. However, check-in efficiency was a bit slow. It's also quite a distance from the main Las Vegas Strip. The free shuttle train is at the hotel, but only operates for a short segment. The in-room coffee machine couldn't boil plain water, forcing guests to buy coffee and bottled water, which felt a bit disingenuous.

The hotel had absolutely no service, the check in queue was soooo long and slow. The worst thing is there’s a dog barking non stop in the room right opposite to us, when I called customer service they said they will send someone to check it up and if the dog doesn’t stop barking they will throw them out. The literally used the words “throw them out”. Obviously it was a lie, we were there the whole evening no one came to check on the endlessly barking dog. The noise was non stop , never thought paying to a five star hotel means we can’t even rest properly. It was the worst experience ever!

Hotel staff was amazing walked us up to our room made sure everything was great. Room had a view of the stadium. The pools were amazing he had a great time will be going back soon.

Although we stayed at the W Hotel, we spent time enjoying the pool at Mandalay Bay. It was quite crowded over the weekend, but for my 5th-grade son, the lazy river and wave pool were an absolute highlight. He had an amazing time, and it turned out to be a very memorable experience for him. Highly recommended for families, especially with kids!

Cleanliness - molds in the shower.  French fries under the console table from previous visitors.  We never brought food in the room during our stay.  Amenities - no free coffee. No bathroom amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers or cottons etc

Mandalay Bay Resort is good for family with kids. With the bit swimming pool and a nice connecting hotels to get to the *****, hersheys and m&m factory will make children enjoy the walk. Mandalay has it own foodcourt and trams that connect to other hotel.

Mandalay Bay, five stars for their lazy river and pool facilities!!! Front desk Michael was very good, excellent customer service! He answered all our questions and gave us welcome drinks for the 4 of us! He let us checked in 1 hr earlier as we came from another MGM hotel, Cosmopolitan :) we definitely can recommend Mandalay for families!

I was greeted by several people who helped me from the parking, to the entrance and the waiting for my room.   The service was great and I always had the support.
