Hotel Tirreno

The hotel itself was pleasant and fairly modern, and the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. However, our room faced the parking lot, which was quite dusty and took away from the overall experience. The bathroom definitely needs renovation – the shower had only a curtain instead of a proper enclosure, so the floor would get completely wet every time. Breakfast and check-in were handled in the neighboring Hotel Miramare, where the staff was very kind and professional – they actually also managed the rooms and breakfast service for our hotel. Breakfast was buffet-style – the same selection each day, but with plenty of options to choose from. Unfortunately, the beach associated with our hotel (Tirreno) was a major disappointment. Although it was advertised as part of the hotel, access was only available for an extra fee. The price list was only in Italian, and there was no mention of any discount or benefit for hotel guests. We paid the full price like any walk-in customer – 30 euros for a front-row sunbed and umbrella, with no towels included and the beach shower costing extra. The beach staff were particularly unfriendly and unhelpful. Toward the end of our stay, we found out by accident that hotel guests were supposed to have access to the last row of sunbeds (further from the sea) at a discounted rate of 15 euros per day – but no one informed us about this option, and it wasn't written anywhere. While the hotel itself was nice and comfortable, the beach experience really ruined part of our stay – not just because of the steep prices and lack of amenities (like towels or a free shower), but especially because of the unpleasant attitude of the beach staff.

Hotel needs renovation, not up to its level

Not good. About the only good thing here is the location and 1 friendly receptionist. The room was tiny, the building is just concrete so you hear everything in the corridors and surrounding rooms and the laminate flooring is peeling. I've had better showers in camper vans and the Bar staff are rude and unhelpful. Don't expect to be able to use the sun loungers either. Although 90% were empty I was told I could rent 1 chair with no umbrella and only in the back row next to the bar where people were eating their dinner! I asked why but was made to feel stupid and dismissed so I just lay on the beach instead. Terrible place, I would urge you to find somewhere nicer!
