When we asked to join a table to dine with another group we'd just met and were chatting with, we were told no, that 51 out of 50 places had been set and that moving a table would be a hassle. I repeat: a hassle. We also go out to meet other people. Eating together is conviviality; if I'm deprived of it by those who are supposed to sell this service, it's not right... After dinner, we stayed to chat. I wanted to ask for a coffee and a liqueur and continue chatting, but, politely, we were told we had to leave the room, which was being set for the next day... Every request was a hassle... a hassle."
