Beautiful castle, wonderful rooms and ambience. The family is super nice,too. The have been doing this for a while however, they might feel tired of visitors. Only opens in the summer season and for weddings. Visit the garden and the surrounding forest and abbey too.

Chateau de Picomtal is a beautiful castle perched above the Serre-Ponçon Lake. The view alone is worth the journey. Each room in this lovingly restored chateau reflects its history which - we learned - started with a tower about 1000 years ago. A spectacular place and very welcoming hosts made our stay special. If you're looking for a something unique and surprising, Chateau de Picomtal is waiting. It's more than a place to spend the night, it's an experience we will not forget.

My wife and I stayed over one night at Picomtal and really wished we could have stayed longer! Ryan and Asia were incredible hosts and they even made dinner reservations at a great local restaurant without us even asking! It is so interesting to stay in such a unique estate with a rich history. I honestly would plan a trip just to come back to this beautiful castle and quaint village of Crots. This place is truly a hidden gem!

Si vous êtes dans la région , cet hôtel vaut le détour … des chambres d un château avec une décoration soignée et d époque … tout confort .. un petit dej parfait … visitez le jardin , profitez du lieu .. une expérience inoubliable .. prenez le temps de voir le film de la restauration du château ..

Es mein Geschenk anlässlich der letzten Weihnachten und ich war schon äußerst gespannt, wie es sein wird. Nun: Das Chateau, die Besitzer und die Freundlichkeit, mit der man uns begegnete, waren einzigartig! Wir hatten ein wahrlich königliches Zimmer (Ludwig XVI.) mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf einen verwunschenen Garten :-) Wenn man hier Aufenthalt nimmt, sollte man unbedingt ausreichend Stunden einplanen, in denen man das Chateau auch so richtig genießt, da man in nahezu allen Räumen sitzen kann und sich dann auch so richtig wie „Königs“ fühlt ;-) Ein super-dickes Dankeschön nochmals an die wirklich lieben Gastgeber!!

Extrêmement beau et la visite guidée d'une et demi est très intéressante. C'est un régal de faire cette visite et il ne faut pas hésiter à y aller si vous êtes dans la région. Aussi bien l'intérieur que les extérieurs sont un véritable régal. Attention, il n'y a que 3 visites par semaine.

Château d’une grande beauté restauré avec beaucoup de soin et de respect pour ce monument . Les chambres sont magnifiques et spacieuses. Nous avons eu la chance de visiter une grande partie du château et de visionner le film de la restauration de celui-ci. Un calme et une tranquillité règnent tout au long de la journée et de la nuit ! Le petit déjeuner est parfait. Un grand merci à Sharon et son gendre Ryan pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse 😊😘

Juste pour une visite avec notre groupe de randonneurs, nous avons découvert un lieu magique, et une guide, Sharon, captivante, pendant plus de 2 heures très intéressantes. Beaucoup d'admiration pour le travail de rénovation grandiose !
