Hotels Near Mont Saint-Michel in Le Mont-Saint-Michel

The hotel is well located at the entrance to the city of Mont Saint-Michel, but don't expect to see a surprising view of either the bay or the abbey. There are the roofs of the buildings that surround it that block the view. The room is quite spacious and well appointed. The bathroom has a corner bath, but no window. The beds and furniture are clean, but I was unpleasantly surprised to see the state of the window sills and frames blackened with dirt. I wanted to put my phone there to make a video of the sunrise but I was quickly challenged by the state of the windows. The hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. Therefore, not suitable for the elderly or people with reduced mobility. There was enough choice for breakfast and the girl who served us was very nice. There were just some products (pain au chocolat, for example) that were not replenished. It was not yet the end of the service, however. We wanted to eat at the restaurant but the reservation is full. Surprisingly, passing there at the start and middle of service, a lot of tables are empty but we were refused access and sent to the restaurant of the nearby inn.

I hesitated to book at Le Relais Saint-Michel based on the prior reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay here! They emailed us a code to access the gate to the hotel guest parking lot prior to arrival, and we just drove up to the gate, punched in the code, and drove right up to the hotel. The rooms were not yet ready for us at around 4pm (a negative), so we left our bags with the hotel and ventured out to Mont Saint Michel. This hotel is the closest to the monument, and the bus stop is right in front of the parking lot, so it was a matter of minutes before we were at the foot of the Mont. We returned to the hotel after exploring for a few hours, and the check-in was fast and easy, and we had a recently renovated smaller room (101) with a nice outdoor terrace with a panoramic view of Mont Saint-Michel, and a much larger recently renovated room (201) with an oblique rooftop view, although still very nice. We found some minor issues with cleanliness (the prior guest's facial wash was not removed from the room), but otherwise the room was clean, comfortable, and just perfect for an overnight stay. The mont was not very illuminated at night (we were there a few days before the noctural illuminations), but it was lovely to gaze at it at night and in the morning when there were no people about, just goats. Would definitely stay here again if in the area - our friends stayed down the road at another hotel within the gates and I definitely think this was a superior experience.

Fantastic place directly next to Mont Saint Michel. We brought our bikes with us and enjoyed biking a round the area and biking directly to the Mont Saint Michel avoiding the long shuttle bus queues. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff and good restaurant. The only small problem we had was getting through the entry gate to the area. There was a long queue of cars and almost everyone struggled getting through. When it was our turn we realized that we needed a code. A quick call to the hotel, who provided us the code, and problem solved.

Clean and tidy hotel and good value. My only criticism would be the lack of choice for breakfast, just a very basic continental breakfast but they didn’t even have jam or marmalade available. But the venue is next to the courtesy bus to Mount-St-Michel which is very good.

The hotel is very good for the price. We have enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna facilities which are very good. The staff is welcome and small care.

A small hotel. The rooms were clean and nice. They were small but that’s what we have seen through your France so I guess it is the thing here to have petit rooms in general. The hotel is about 7-8 mins drive away from the town centre so if you don’t have your own car then travelling might be difficult. The main castle is about 30 mins away from the hotel. We mainly selected this hotel only was due to the fact that we couldn’t find any other hotels nearby which had air conditioned rooms. None of the hotels closer to the castle had AC and since we were travelling in summer that was something we wanted for sure and it was a good choice as the temperatures were not on the cooler side. The hotel has ample parking space so getting your cars isn’t a problem, furthermore they even have Tesla charging points within their parking.

We spent two nights here, so visit the Mont Saint Michel. The rooms are as shown on the website. We had a familyroom and that works very well for 4 persons. The bathroom is rather small and a bit outdated, but very clean as the whole room. We felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The staff was really nice and very helpful. The Lady at the reception (I can't remember her name unfortunately) helped us with an earlier breakfast so we could reach Mont Saint Michel in time (booked tickets for 09:00) and helped my husband, who broke a leg. We felt very welcome and appreciate the effort to go the exta mile!

Neat, clean little hotel. No elevator. Chosen for a brief 1 night stay before going to Mt-St-Michel. The Staff were pleasant and helpful. We arrived by Taxi from Rennes and took a Taxi to MSM. There didn’t seem much in the vicinity. It looked Industrial over residential. The spartan room made good use of space and it was comfortable. We went down to the Bar for a drink, and it was Happy Hour. Nice surprise and good Red. We didn’t stay for Breakfast.

Excellent quality price for this hotel where we got my husband, daughter, cat and myself early February. Good location, near the station. This is the second time we go and we'll go back there.
