My dream hotel ... Staff is incredibly kind and friendly. Housekeeping is excellent, and I simply love the modern style and the modern artwork of this hotel, which is situated in the heart of County Wicklow. You will need a car to get there. And if you are into golf (I am not) you will be in seventh heaven. Food is excellent and the rooms are spotlessly clean. We used the Druids Glen as a base to visit family and to explore the exciting Wicklow sights like Avondale Forest Park, Powerscourt House, Kilruddery House, Kilmaccurragh Botanical Gardens etc. It was our third stay and we got a special welcome card from the manager which was charming. Be aware that the hotel is very popular at the weekend with young Irish families and their small children. You will see little babies in the bar, and kids will happily run wild. It is also popular for family does, like weddings, birthdays etc. The Irish love children, so it can be a little noisy at dinner time. So if you are travelling with young children - this is a great place for you. It would be lovely if the hotel could provide a 'quiet space' for people without happily screeching toddlers to enjoy the hotel's excellent food in peace. To summarise: We love this hotel and... We will be back! We highly recommend this wonderful charming Hotel, because it is so much loved - and it really has a heart.
