"Stayed here for just one night on Boxing Day. Have to say it is hard to justify the £1.5k room rate (and another £800 for dinner and drinks). Maybe in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy a nice summers evening… but in the winter when there are just kids running around the bar area it’s nothing special. I also thought the Japanese was not as good as a year ago. Also after a long day of travel the one thing I wanted to do was watch 20 mins of TV before going to sleep and exactly the same as the previous year the TV did not work! (And no I don’t want to wait for a “technician”’to come into my room at 11pm to fix something that should work!). At £500 - £750 a night it would overall be “fine” .. but personally think they are punching above their weight (which is probably why the hotel seemed empty)."
