Holiday Inn Express Leeds City Centre - Armouries
4.1/5128 Reviews
I feel bad knocking the hotel. It's in a great location with parking for just £8 a night next door. Ideal for the Armories (free entrance) and a surprisingly cheap £1 river taxi to the city centre. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, in fact the Indian gentleman on check in was probably the best check in experience I've ever had. All the other staff were pleasant. The room was big and comfortable. Now the gripe. Breakfast was an absolute nightmare. The queues were mainly caused however because there was only one toaster and this was set in a way that people had to put their bread in twice to get it toasted. Then there was the wait for bacon and sausages to be refilled ( not a short wait, a good 10 minutes). We recently stayed at a sister hotel in Crewe and their toaster was of a different model that was an industrial 4 slice one making 4 slices very quickly. Mind you they also had cheese on offer which would have also got people away from the queues. Even a few bread rolls which wouldn't need toasting would also alleviate queues to some extent. The last problem was a lack of plates. Would we stay again, yes. Though we would make sure we didn't wait until 8.30am to get breakfast

We have just stayed here for 2 nights for a local event. The hotel is very clean, warm and homely. It has a cottage feel about it and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Room lovely, very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared and good choice too. Thank you for a lovely stay

The service is good, and the room has been upgraded😇 The room is large and comfortable. Breakfast is average. The main reason is the location, which is really nice. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the train station, and all the delicious food and shopping can be reached on foot. It's so convenient, there is also a famous donut shop just downstairs from the hotel. We found out before we left that it was sold out by 4pm. Saw a lot of people in the lobby looking for this donut shop

Great check in and room experience. Rooftop bar is lovely. Breakfast lots of options. Current roadworks make it a bit different ways to get to it but surely will be completed in due course.
Premier Inn Leeds Headingley

Stayed for 2 nights from Friday in a Premier Plus room during July This Premier Inn had been converted from an office block which now has shops and restaurants on the ground floor – access is up a ramp to the second-floor level to a free car park dedicated to the Premier Inn. There is a warning about spaces being limited but we didn’t have any problems – from there it is a level walk to the lift to take you to reception As ever check-in painless – room 610 – Premier Plus floor – overlooking Headingley with the views of the cricket ground and the hills beyond Standard Premier Plus room – comfy bed – effective ac - fridge – coffee maker – flatscreen TV – USB points - with a shower over a deep bath Fully functioning restaurant offering breakfast and dinner – buffet breakfast with the offer of cooked to order eggs But the main advantage of this Premier Inn for us was its location – close to a Sainsbury supermarket – loads of good quality restaurants – we ate at the Santorini Bar and Grill and Salvos – both very good and close – as well numerous bus services into the city centre – and if you have the time it is walkable along the Otley Road We would return for a longer stay – not only to re-visit the city centre but also to explore the surrounding towns and cities especially as the car parking is free and there are lots of interesting restaurants close-by

The room I stayed with my friends is lovely and the staff are extremely helpful and have gone above and beyond. We could ask for any more and this will be the place we will stay in on future trips to Leeds. Thank you to staff for making the experience the best!
