Premier Inn Leicester (Forest East)

Although the hotel is a little bit on the 'tired' side, it's clean, cool, comfortable, and easy to find. Dinner was fine, and staff/service fantastic. Breakfast is cooked to order, and Daniel (on duty that morning) deserves a special mention for being friendly, efficient, and pleasant!

A lovely stay here for 3 nights whilst we visited family. Paid extra to have breakfast each morning too. A lovely selection of breakfast items and had brilliant service from Dan, one of the servers, he looked after myself and my daughter well. Credit to Dan xx

This is a very dated Premier Inn and needs some love. It was soooo noisy so sleep quality wasn’t great and the room was freezing. Breakfast was good though. Dan was friendly and welcoming and the cooked to order option was much better than a huge buffet.

The family room we stayed in was a great size. There was enough room to fit the double bed and two singles and still have a lot of room to manoeuvre. The double bed and one of the single beds (sofa) were very comfortable, unfortunately the second singe bed was very hard and quite small. My husband doesn't mind a hard bed so it was okay for us. In the morning we had the breakfast. The staff, Julie, Emma and Dan were amazing. They all went above and beyond to ensure we had a great morning. They supplied my children with colouring and puzzles to keep them occupied and the enthusiasm and praise they gave to my daughter when she showed them her colouring made my daughter smile from ear to ear. They certainly made our morning, best staff we've encountered at a premier inn. I gave four stars instead of five since the evening staff were the complete opposite to the breakfast staff. They didn't have any enthusiasm and didn't seem to know what was going on. We wanted to upgrade our booking to get the meal deal but they didn't know how to do this and the man behind the desk kept interrupting me every time I spoke which was rude. Overall it was a nice stay.

Customer service very poor. Check-in took an inordernate amount of time. No one was there, and despite pressing the buzzer for attention, it was a long time before anyone came to deal with me. I saw other people having the same problem during my stay. Impression was one of pure laziness. Went to the restaurant for something to eat one night. I only wanted two starters, but after 45 mins I was looking at my watch and was about to ask the staff where it was when they finally reached the table. The place was not busy so the delay was hard to justify. Tomato soup fine, but well overpriced. The cheesy potato skins were nothing of the sort. I was presented with a plate of chips covered in cold bits of bacon, and grated cheese over them that hadn't even melted. They tasted old and bland and were bordering on cold. Really very unappetising and disappointing. I never ate there again. Disappointing experience all round. No toiletries in the bathroom except handwash or shower gel (the same thing in my experience), but no problem with cleanliness. You can top up your supplies of tea and coffee at the reception desk. Free wifi was a JOKE. You couldn't even watch a youtube video without it stalling. And forget trying to download anything at all. I tried to download three 45-minute programmes to my laptop and they were still downloading 12 hours later when I had to check out! Honestly, why bother? Given that this is supposed to be an affordable option for a hotel stay it was extremely overpriced And very disappointing. I think next time I'll head to Days Inn a bit further down the road. Yes, it was handy for location, but it was an uncomfortable trial from start to finish. No one values you here.

Always a friendly welcome at reception. Rooms are always clean & well presented. The beds and pillows are so comfortable you drift off to sleep with ease. Love L.F.E. Premier Inn. I've had breakfast there on occasions and evening meals also. The food is as good as the hospitality and fairly priced.
