Absolutely sublime from the team to the food. The lodge location had stunning views where the silence of the veld was serene. The chef makes absolutely divine food with a true African touch to the food. The lodge manager and host made everyone feel welcome adding warm safari experience where in each drive with a very knowledgeable guide from tracking to magical tales of all animals. I strongly recommend to anyone wanting a serenely wonderful moment to get away from the bussle of life to come to Nedile Lodge.

Our stay at the lodge was absolutely amazing. The staff, accommodation, and food were outstanding, and the views were spectacular. Andrew, our safari ranger, was very knowledgeable and friendly with a great sense of humor. He and his wife Kate, who is one of the lodge managers, made our stay a memory and experience that will stay with us forever. As did all of the staff.I was celebrating a birthday at the time of our stay, and John, who was one of the chefs, actually baked a birthday cake and presented it to me after dinner one evening. Which was a nice touch. We saw four of the big five and many other animals as well. We even had a few elephants right by our decking area one morning, which was pretty amazing. So on that note, I would like to thank Andrew , Kate, and all their staff a massive thank you for making our stay one of the greatest experiences we could ever wish for.

This trip in may was my third stay at Nedile and I hope to get back in the future. The accommodations are wonderful and staff very accomodating. Kate and Hanro have been there all three times, the last two as managers and they make everyone feel welcome. The Rangers are some of the best in South Africa. They find the animals in the bush and get us as photographers in wonderful postions for our photographs while keeping us safe. They are very knowledgeable on the wildlife and there habits as well as Welgovonden Game reserve. My last two trips have been on my birthday and the staff have mede both days special. I have told people the the staff has helped make Welgovonden Game Reserve and Nedile Lodge my "Happy Place". I would recommend it to all!

Our experience at Nedile Lodge was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The lodge is located in a breathtaking setting with panoramic views over the Welgevonden Game Reserve – a place where tranquility, nature, and luxury come together perfectly. The safaris were spectacular! We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, with the highlight being a close encounter with a leopard and a pride of lionesses just meters away. Our ranger was fantastic – knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply respectful of the wildlife. The accommodation is stylish and comfortable, with spacious rooms that offer beautiful views of the bush. Waking up to the sounds of the African wilderness is a truly unique experience. The food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Their hospitality made our stay even more special – we even received a warm farewell upon departure. Nedile Lodge is a hidden gem where you can completely unwind and experience the best of African nature. We would highly recommend it to anyone and hope to return someday! Fred & Marjolein

The lodge is set in the very picturesque Welgevonden Game Reserve and certainly is a 5 star place for the food quality and the facilities for a game lodge. Myself and my husband enjoyed several drives with Mornie he was an excellent guide and tracker provided us with lots of information about the animals we saw and about the birds we heard. He has a great way of making you feel at ease by telling us about the way the animals react in different circumstances and also what to do when they get close so although there is always an element of danger we all felt safe in his hands. We saw all the big 5 during our stay which was amazing plus many others. My friends didn't come on the drives but they did manage to see so many species by the watering hole so the safari came to them which they enjoyed. The use of the gym and the massages was also a bonus for them whilst we were on our drives. Kate was very helpful during our visit and Johnathan an excellent host at meal times and for drinks. The kitchen staff provide excellent quality of food with good choices to accommodate most tastes. The rooms were also excellent and we enjoyed the bath with the open view.

Everything was amazing! The game drives with Andrew were so good. We saw so many animals and he was so knowledgeable and funny. We didn't see any leopards when we were there but saw all the other big 5 plus loads of other animals. That's just the luck of the draw though and mostly we were really lucky. The lodge itself was beautiful and all the food was really delicious. We're both pescetarian so everyday they would ask us if we wanted fish or vegetarian for dinner (we switched back and forth and everything was good). There's a watering hole that the dining area looks out on so you get lots of chances to see animals while eating. Also, if you've seen it mentioned in other reviews, it's true that the elephants really do come up to drink from the pool!

We had the pleasure of staying at Nedile Lodge in July, and it was an unforgettable experience. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings. From the moment we arrived, the lovely staff made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need with warmth and professionalism. Our guide, Aoundru, was great. His knowledge of the wildlife and the area was impressive, and he made our game drives both educational and exciting. We were fortunate to see a wide variety of animals up close. The accommodations were luxurious and comfortable, offering stunning views of the landscape. Every detail, from the decor to the amenities, was thoughtfully designed to enhance our stay. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented, adding to the overall excellence of our visit. Nedile Lodge provided a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. We left with wonderful memories and a strong desire to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable safari experience!

My wife and I had the most amazing 4 night stay at the lodge over the easter weekend. The setting and the views from the lodge and on the game drives were amazing, the Welgevondon Reserve is a stunning place to spend time. All of the staff looked after us superbly, the food was very good all week and the selection of drinks matched this brilliantly. The 8 game drives were superbly managed by Morne our guide and we were very lucky to see some very special animals. The quiet and the stillness at the lodge gave us time to relax and we loved to just sit and watch animals as they came to the watering hole.
