Didn’t know what to expect but my instincts were right… a truly beautiful home in a stunning part of France owning and run by an amazing couple - Edith and Jean Francois. Their home, built by themselves just 10 years ago is a place of real beauty and character. Our bedroom had a tasteful Moroccan theme with a fabulous balcony with far reaching views across their grounds to the forest beyond. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was particularly impressive. However, what made this place so unique was the evening meal we enjoyed with Edith and Jean Francois. My wife’s knowledge of French really helped with the communication and the food, lovingly prepared by Edith, was exceptional from start to finish as were the local drinks which Jean Francois was so keen to explain. A rare find and one we would both high recommend. We will know doubt return and for more than one night for sure…

We have been very fortunate to have travelled to many places around the world and stayed in some fantastic places too, but this ranks as one of the best! Superb surroundings, a beautiful house, fantastic bedroom suite, but all outweighed by the hospitality of Edyth and Jean. If you are arriving from Caen it’s less than an hour away, and/or if your exploring Normandy then this venue is a must!

Comfortable, spacious rooms, in a magnificent hillside setting surrounded by fields, woods and very close to the lake. A pool is currently being built. There are waymarked walks nearby, magnificent cycling in hilly or flat terrain, velorails, boat trips, castles, far too many things to see and do. This really is one of the best French regions you've never heard of. The breakfasts and evening meals were expertly prepared with quality local ingredients, many from the garden. Each evening we shared generous amounts of local pommeau, cider, perry and Calvados with dinner, and wines from the Loire valley (a little further south!) with magnificent Normandy cheeses. Finally, we couldn't have wished for more friendly, generous and helpful hosts. A truly wonderful stay - many thanks!

Prachtig gebouw op een groot domein. Kamers zeer ruim en voorzien van alle comfort. Bedden zijn uitstekend. Zwembad en jacuzzi beschikbaar en zeer netjes. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid met verse producten. 's Avonds genoten van een zeer uitgebreid diner met verse ingrediënten en voorzien van gepaste dranken. Zeer aangename eigenaars. Locatie is rustig en afgelegen. Dichtstbijzijnde stad 20min rijden.
