Imerti Resort Hotel

Fabulous Imerti Hotel in Skala Kalloni Lesvos. Yet again the brothers Stratos and George have surpassed their usual level of hospitality with excellent service and attentiveness during our stay. This year we were lucky to experience the famous Skala Sardine Festival which did not disappoint with a cultural experience of music, dancing and of course food and ouzo. We visited Molyvos and Petra, although hot in the heat of summer the eateries and bars were excellent. As usual Skala Kallonis restaurants were first class, with a wide array of menu and all served with a smile. The highlight of our stay: our friends the people of Skala Kalloni, The Imerti Hotel, food and general welcome from all ( did I mention the hot tub !) not to be missed.

I write this as I leave the Imerti Hotel and head to the airport with a heavy heart. I almost don't want to tell you how lovely our week has been, because I want it to be kept a secret, but, at the same time, the Imerti Hotel deserves this review. The hotel is lovely, we stayed in an apartment room with our teenage son and it was perfect, clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony. The service at the hotel was so welcoming, Stratos and George are so friendly and along with the kitchen staff work tirelessly. As for Skala Kallonis, we felt this was a hidden Gem, a very relaxed and real greek feel. As for Lesvos itself, what a great place, we hired a car for 4 days and fully recommend this. Without doubt, we will be back again soon, thank you for such a special stay

The hotel is perfectly situated for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The staff are very friendly and eager to help in any way they can. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a balcony, and overlooked the pool area. The room was cleaned every day and bed and towels changed. The hotel is at most ten minutes from the fishing harbour, shops, bars and restaurants. It is very picturesque and has safe beaches. Breakfasts have hot and cold options, with plenty of choice, and outdoor or indoor seating areas. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would come again. *If you wanted to explore more of the island you would probably need to hire a vehicle.

Our week was wonderful ... enjoying our last night here in lesvos, everyone including locals so welcoming to the area On arrival to the hotel Stratos was so lovely showing us to our lovely double room overlooking the pool (as requested) Room's gorgeous, shower fabulous! This small family hotel feels like home from home. All of the staff are great at what they do. We arrived very late and were welcomed with open arms.

My wife and I booked a two week holiday for the end of June into the start of July. Our experience had begun well even before we arrived at the hotel, as Stratos, who runs the hotel with his brother Giorgos, had been contacted by Titos at Lesvos Bikes, regarding the storage and charging of the electric bikes we had hired from Titos, whom we can also highly recommend. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no additional charge for the daily charging of the electric bikes. Stratos greeted us on our arrival and showed us to our first-floor room, which was quiet and comfortable. The first week of our holiday was fabulous, as we were able to get out and about on the electric bikes and get to places like Molyvos, Petra and Apothikes. The ride over the mountains to Petra and Molyvos is spectacularly beautiful, with the the Gavrilos Restaurant overlooking Petra also highly recommended. Breakfast was always lovely and the rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. All the staff at the hotel were always extremely polite and helpful. The pool area is very pleasant, with a range of food and drinks available at the pool-side bar. And then things took a turn for the worse as my wife popped a disc in her lower back. This required a visit to the local health center/hosptial by ambulance that Giorgos arranged. My wife was discharged the same day, but was severely incapacitated. Stratos immediately offered a change of room to the ground floor, which we accepted gratefully. Giorgos and Stratos provided us with food in our room that evening, as my wife was unable to go out and we also borrowed a wheel-chair for the remainder of our stay. Everyone at the hotel was extremely sympathetic and helpful thereafter. So all in all, not quite the holiday we had planned or hoped for, but the hotel itself is lovely. It is in a quiet, rural location, but only a 10 minute walk to the beach and town centre. It is run and staffed by people who genuinely care about their guests. Suffice to say that we will be going back.
