Hotel Paraiso Salvaje ★★★
Waira Suites ★★★★
"Nice enough hotel. AC rooms which is a blessing when you're returning from the Amazon, a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is pretty basic so don't expect frills of any sort. The wifi is terrible, you have to move around in the lounge area (no AC, happy mozzies!) to find the best signal. I would give it 3 stars but the staff is so friendly and helpful (a special shout out to the restaurant manager at breakfast) and the fact that there is WiFi at all ups this to a more deserving 4 stars! Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Leticia again."
Hotel Alto Amazonas ★★★
"They are so kind, really good place."
Hotel Anaconda ★★★
"The hotel is located in the heart of Leticia. It has its own pool, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The American breakfast is very basic."
BATARA Apartahotel Boutique - BHB ★★★
"We only stayed one night, but we really appreciated the peaceful location before our flight home. The tuk-tuk ride into the city center was also fine."
Waldor's Hotel Boutique ★★
"A modern hotel with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had. The breakfast was basic eggs and coffee with a plate of fruit. On the downside there was no toiletries provided in the room and they needed constant reminders to provide towels. For a night after an Amazon jungle tour it is okay and annoyingly you must hand key to reception when you leave even if popping across road to the shop"
Hotel Yurupary Amazonas ★★★
"Leticia is a great place to stay to explore the Amazon area. Its easy to get to from Bogota and there are some good restaurants. We did one of the standard tours and one day exploring deeper into the jungle on our own, arranged with a captain we new through the hotel. The hotel was very good overall. Its in a good location in Leticia, with easy access to the airport and restaurants. The breakfasts were good and the room was comfortable. We didnt have time to use the pool but we saw others using it and it looked good. The only problem we had was with an aggressive tour guide who would hang out at the hotel try to find tourists to reserve his tours. We saw him being very rude to one of the hotel staff and we decided to make a compliant becuase of what we witnessed"
ApartaHotel Tierras Amazonicas ★★★
"We had an excellent stay at ApartaHotel Tierras Amazonicas! It had everything we needed including Air Conditioning in our room, and some additional nice touches to the place. Also, the owners are very accommodating and friendly! They went out of their way to help pick us up, find a nice restaurant, help us find where we need to go next and drop us off at the time we needed. Highly recommended!"
Eco Hotel El Refugio Boutique ★★
"A nice hotel, with a lovely rooftop terrace and friendly, helpful staff. However, being eco should not mean cheap, and I found that the windows in our room didn't close properly, and our bed was on plastic crates which were very noisy! Also, a small thing but air con and soap in individual plastic is not eco. Overall, it's nice and would recommend for backpackers looking for a place to stay"

Hotel Utüane
"The place is lovely and clearly well cared for. Everything was clean, comfortable, and matched our expectations for the price. The pool was in great condition and nicely located close to the cabins. We had a great stay overall. The breakfast was varied, and each day they made an effort to introduce us to a new tropical fruit or local dish, which was a really nice touch. We also appreciated the freedom to arrange our own excursions, and it was easy and inexpensive to get to the city by tuk-tuk. The staff were always incredibly helpful and attentive, doing everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible."
On Vacation Amazon
"We stayed at On Vacation Amazon near Leticia from 31 October to 3 November 2025. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I would not recommend this property nor the affiliated SelvaTours operator to other travellers. Hotel — On Vacation Amazon What initially appeared to be a jungle escape quickly became an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. Key issues encountered: • Misleading package & food situation Our booking ($341.87 AUD, double standard room, incl. breakfast and transfers) did not make it clear that you must purchase a full-meal package or pay inflated restaurant prices once onsite. The hotel is isolated — approximately one hour from Leticia’s port — with no alternative dining options. Once you arrive, you are effectively captive. • Aggressive upselling & membership pitch Upon arrival, guests are subjected to an hour-long sales session for a USD $5,300 hotel “membership”. It set an uncomfortable tone and felt highly inappropriate for a hospitality environment. • Poor room infrastructure & comfort • Air-conditioning only available 8pm–5:30am and only upon request, often with a 20-30 minute wait • Bats in the room, including one flapping around while we tried to rest and others trapped in the walls • Rooms constructed of thin timber planks with no sound insulation — early-rising guests and loud TVs/music from 4am made rest impossible • Room odour likely from humidity and wildlife presence • Cleanliness passable but certainly not to standard for the price or setting • No phone in room, and no reception signal, meaning long walks to reception for any assistance • Service & communication Some staff were polite and did assist when asked (e.g., removing a bat), but English-speaking staff were not easy to identify, making it challenging for international visitors. • Feeling of commercial focus over guest care The overwhelming impression was that the hotel prioritises profit-maximisation over guest experience, supported by frequent upsell attempts and minimal service delivery. Many other guests expressed similar frustration during our stay. In summary: While nature immersion is expected in the Amazon, there is a clear difference between rustic eco-lodging and a poorly maintained facility. This hotel leans toward the latter. We could not wait to leave and would not return nor recommend to family or friends. Tours — SelvaTours SelvaTours appears to operate exclusively with the hotel, creating a monopoly-style arrangement for guests. The lack of competition appears to have fostered complacency and a transactional rather than experiential approach. Key issues: • Disorganisation & delays Told to be ready at 7:15am only to depart at 8:30am. This was consistent, resulting in wasted time. • Safety concerns Boats appeared over capacity and life jackets were not consistently available for all passengers — unacceptable in river conditions like the Amazon. • Language accessibility No English briefing o"
