The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were conformable, offering great recommendation for walks and activities in the area. If you"re looking for a peaceful, picturesque gateway with top-tier hospitality, Loch maree hotel is the place to be . We can"t wait to return.

Slatterdale beach was closed owing to forestry works and we had tried to contact the hotel in advance to make a request to use their slipway but there was no reply and no one at the hotel to ask when we arrived. Because the previous owner of the hotel had always been very relaxed about kayakers using the slip and very accommodating towards us and because we did not know the hotel had changed hands we carried on. So there were assumptions made and possibly misunderstandings on our part about rights of access which we explained to the current owner when he challenged us about using his property. We were made to feel very unwelcome. We cannot recommend returning to use the hotel for any type of hospitality as there was none on offer to us today.

amazing scenary beautiful place ,if you want ti decompress its the best place ti go ,i absolutley recomend it and the service was very good loved the place and the staff is really friendly helpfull it was a good experience definitly will be back !

The best thing about this hotel is the location, views over the loch are beautiful. This is where the good ends! Unlike some reviews we did not find the welcome very friendly . We had a woodland view room which was probably the smallest we have ever stayed in, you could hardly walk around the bed without bumping against the very large tv on the wall. In fact the bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom. The toilet seat was broken, but we didn't experience any problem with the shower as has been mentioned in previous reviews, perhaps we chose the right time. The dining experience was definitely like faulty towers with very long wait for food. We ended up commiserating with other diners regarding the below par service, had to ask for cutlery and only one salt and pepper pot for the whole room. There did not seem to be enough staff as even after being told there were no paper towels in the bar toilets these were not refilled until being told again next day, also drinks glasses from the night before were still on the lounge tables in the morning. The breakfast was not good and again very slow service. I am sorry to say all in all a disappointing overpriced stay.

This hotel was such a disappointment. Neither the radiator or the TV in the room worked, albeit they were fixed upon request but then broke again. The bathroom tap and toilet seat were both loose and the sap holder broken. The receptionist was also the repair man and the waiter and was rather grumpy. It really reminded us of Fawlty Towers. The restaurant menu was also very limited with only 3 choices and there was no decaffeinated or green tea, It was all very basic, although the food was quite nice when it arrived
