Like the other guests who gave a low rating, we were confronted with an outburst of anger from the owner, Bernardo, upon arrival, after we had arrived too early and simply wanted to ask whether it might be possible to check in, or otherwise whether we could park our car there for a while and come back after a swim for check-in. We would have accepted 'no' for an answer but we didn't even get the chance. We were immediately treated extremely badly and rudely; I have never experienced anything like it. I speak some Italian and tried my best to communicate that way to be kind, but he verbally abused me in Italian in return. So, he will apparently put on a friendly mask with guests unless a small thing doesn't go his way. The owner was clearly unwilling to apologize for this during our stay, even though an apology would have been entirely appropriate in this situation. It was our last day, and we had booked slightly more luxurious accommodation than normal for us, but I wish I hadn't. This unpleasant experience ended up casting a shadow over our entire stay in Cinque Terre. In hindsight, I regret not leaving right then and there, but I had already paid. He does not deserve our money. Hence, this review. The rooms are beautiful, but fairly overpriced. He will undoubtedly deny all of this, but he thoroughly deserves this review.
